This app has a simple purpose. Scan tickets, report red if bad and green if good, and keep track of who came in.  Sadly it fails on that third point pretty badly. Recent event between 10-15% of the green tickets were not recorded back in their servers. Likely a synchronization issue, where they’re not properly handling cases where the WiFi/4g connection isn’t great. 

What this means:  attendance was off by 20%. (383 attending vs 450 really). And it’s also possible that a green ticket was scanned twice by different scanners. Unlikely for our party but a serious problem for a company whose primary responsibility is ticketing. 

Customer support blamed the issue on the WiFi and wouldn’t take responsibility for their app not managing synchronization right. 

We’re evaluating other ticketing vendors for our future events. (This wasn’t our only Weeztix issue by far..)
