## What is Weighly?

Your weight is different every morning. Water, salt and sleep move the number around, so a single reading tells you very little on its own. The trend underneath is the part worth watching, and that is what Weighly shows you, so one heavy morning does not knock you off course.

What Weighly does

Most tracking apps want a lot of your attention. This one wants about ten seconds. Log a weight, glance at the trend, get on with your day. Weighly then does the part a chart cannot: it smooths out the noise, works out how fast you are actually moving, shows when you would reach your goal at that rate, and reviews the week with you so your daily target keeps up.

Your weight, honestly
• A smoothed trend line that shrugs off a bad morning, with every raw weigh-in still there underneath
• Log in seconds in kg, lb or stone, and backdate the days you missed
• An interactive chart you can drag your finger through
• Set a goal weight and see a projected date that updates every time you log
• A weekly check-in that reviews your week and adjusts your daily calorie target
• Milestones for the things you do, not for the pounds
• All-time gain and loss at a glance, plus a BMI card that is honest about its limits
• Up to four progress photos per entry: front, back, left and right
• Compare two photos side by side, or share a ready-made progress chart

Count your calories
• Search a food by name and the nutrition fills itself in
• Scan a barcode to log packaged food without typing it out
• A daily calorie target built around your profile and how fast you want to get there
• Protein, carbs and fat at a glance, day by day
• Favorites and recent meals keep the regular stuff quick

Move a little more
• Connect Apple Health and your workouts, steps and energy burned show up next to your weight
• A daily burn ring with a goal that follows your weight plan
• Heart rate detail for every workout
• Being active can add calories back to your food budget for the day
• Share a workout as a picture or a short video with animated stats

One note on health. Weighly is a self-tracking tool, not a medical device, and it does not give medical, nutritional or health advice. Calorie targets, trends and projected dates are estimates to help you plan, not medical guidance. If you have any concerns about your weight or your relationship with food, please speak to a health professional.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0.5 — 2026-09-14

Weighly now leads with your trend weight: the smoothed line underneath the daily ups and downs, so one heavy morning no longer looks like a setback.

Log a weight and you get something back right away. How you have moved since your last weigh-in, how that compares with the past two weeks, how far along your goal you are, and when you would reach it at the rate you are actually going.

New weekly check-in. Pick a day, and Weighly reviews the week with you and adjusts your daily calorie target to match what your weight is really doing. Skip it whenever you like. Skipping costs you nothing, and a gap in your logging never counts against you.

Milestones now start with your first few entries instead of your tenth, and setup shows you your BMI, your healthy range and your calorie target before it asks you for anything.

You can also look around the app now before deciding on a subscription, and reminders are set up before the subscription step rather than after it.

### 2.0.4 — 2026-09-11

Weighly now walks you through setup in a few quick steps - tell us your goal and we'll build your personal plan on the spot, with a short tour to show you around.

Along the way you'll pick up milestones for the things you do, like logging your first weight or recording a workout, each with a little celebration when you hit one.

Bug fixes and improvements throughout.

### 2.0.3 — 2026-09-08

Weighly Premium is here. Calories and Workout are now part of a subscription — monthly, or annual with a free first month. Both pages open as a preview, so you can see exactly what you would be paying for before you decide.

Also in this version:
• Setting up is one page now instead of nine. Skip it, or fill it in in any order.
• Summary and Compare follow the calendar again, so a weigh-in logged after midnight shows up right away.
• Start a workout from the top of the Workouts card.
• Weighly lets you know when an update is waiting for you.

### 2.0.2 — 2026-09-01

You can now record a workout in Weighly itself, with no Apple Watch needed.

• Start from the Workout tab: search the full Apple Watch activity list, or pick from suggestions that settle into your five most recent activities.
• Choose an open session or a goal: a time, a calorie target or a distance. A sound plays when you reach it, even with your phone locked.
• Follow live figures as you go, plus a GPS route with distance and pace outdoors.
• Pause, resume and end from the Dynamic Island or the Lock Screen, without unlocking.
• Say how hard it felt at the end, and the calorie estimate is refined to match.
• Workouts save to Apple Health beside your weigh-ins, and the ones you record here can be deleted here.
• If you do own a watch, we say so first, since a watch measures more accurately than a phone estimate.

Thanks for tracking with us.

### 2.0.1 — 2026-08-30

Weighly no longer asks for an account before you can use it.

• Continue as guest — start tracking straight away, without signing in. Food search and the barcode scanner ask you to sign in at the moment you use them, then carry on with what you were doing.
• News & Updates — a new switch in Settings > Notifications, so you can turn news about new features on or off whenever you like.
• Log Out in Settings > Account, which ends your session without deleting anything.
• The workout video editor has been rebuilt: full-screen editing, your route drawn onto the video, a Heart Rate menu for choosing between live heart rate and the entire session, and steadier dragging of the pieces on the canvas.
• Short tips the first time you share a workout or open the video editor.
• Make a video from a photo — choose a picture instead of a clip and watch your stats animate over it.
• A new image editor — lay your stats over a photo from your gallery, or keep the classic stats card.
• Your route, your way — show or hide the map on any outdoor workout, and tap it to cycle through four looks.

Plus reliability work behind the scenes.
