### 5/5 — Really helpful

*2025-09-24, version 2.4.1*

I found the app very useful as a beginner and it’s helped me progress.

### 1/5 — Misleading

*2025-09-17*

Wants to charge you $50/month and doesn’t give you even a taste of the program. No free trial or anything

### 5/5 — Initiative and dependable

*2025-07-17, version 2.4.1*

I’ve used this app on and off for weightlifting programming over the years. Following the program results in progress. It adjusts during your workout and weekly.

My favourite feature is being able to change how many days a week I do for the next week.

The best! I’ll be using this for all weightlifting programming.

### 5/5 — Pleasantly surprised

*2025-07-17*

Since the release of the app I’ve used it on and off a few times. The updates over the years have made it an improved app to use if your schedule varies. It’s not 100% perfect, but for the price compared to one on one coaching, it’s tough to beat.

### 5/5 — Amazing Tool for Training

*2025-07-17*

I don’t normally leave reviews, but this app is so awesome I had to! I have been training for a long time and this is by far the best tool I have ever used for programming. I get to pick my focus and it adapts lift by lift, week by week, program by program. I highly recommend it!

### 5/5 — Title

*2025-07-17, version 2.4.1*

Great app 👌

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2025-05-29*

Takes your money and never lets you get past subscription page. Yet, I checked my credit card and I’ve been charged. Still can’t get in and customer service is no where to be found!! Beware of this money grab.

### 5/5 — Excellente app !

*2025-02-12, version 2.2.1*

### 4/5 — Great potential, room for improvement

*2025-01-27*

I really like the concept of the app. The execution is also actually quite good considering the complexity of developing a good program with all of the variables that go into training.

Good stuff

1. Configurable

2. Relatively simple to use

3. The programming and progression for the main lifts seems solid.

4. I really like how it handles rating the main lifts. (3 lights, and RIR)

However there are a couple of weak points. Before I go into them I should note that they have announced a new version of the app that is supposed to address some of these issues.

1. Obfuscation. There is basically no information on why the programming is organized the way it is, sometimes it can feel random.

2. Accessories programming. This is a huge weak point. There is no progressive overload, or periodization for accessories. It feels like it just picks a random movement, random rep range, and will only prescribe a weight equal to whatever you did last in that accessory regardless of rep range or set number.

3. General bugs. There is a good amount of buggy behavior in the programming. For example it frequently puts in more sessions of pulls per week than I have set as the maximum for the week.

4. Support. There is a discord server with a QA, bug reports, and new user help channels. I’ve only been in the server for a couple of weeks. However most questions and posts go unanswered. If there is a response to a help request it is almost always from a community member, not from the devs.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your feedback! Like you pointed out the backend programming logik is very complex and we are working hard on a new version that aims for fix the pitfalls of the first one including better explanations for the programming, programming of accessories and persisting bugs.

We are also working on expanding our team to make sure we meet the growing demand and no questions or problems go unanswered.

Thank you again for sharing this!

### 3/5 — Its ok for intermediate lifters that dont have time

*2024-08-15*

The app will give you a pretty good program based on your best lifts and your goals, but you can do most of the things the program does by yourself for free. The only downside of doing that is that you’ll have to take some time learning how to program for olympic weightlifting and all the nuances that come with it.
If you dont have solid technique on your lifts this app is not for you, become proficient with your technique and get stable 1 Rm’s before considering paying for this app.
Another issue is if you dont know what mistakes you are making in your technique the app won’t help you, so you have to know what you’re doing wrong and make tweaks to the program to add corrective exercises.

**Developer response:** We completely agree, some people would much prefer to do it on their own and that is completely fine, we provide custom programming for those who just want to show up and do what the program says without having to think about it.

Also the app is not best for complete beginners, we recommend at least 3 months of olympic lifting experience so you get comfortable with the technique.

The app does assess your weakpoints (based on your ratios) and provide you the exercises you need to improve and we aim to fill that gap in technique direction with our Discord Community.

Thank you for your honest feedback, if you were for any reason unsatisfied with your experience we'd love to give you a full refund just email us at support@weightlifting.ai!

Kind regards
