The sign in feature sent me in circles. It required a phone call and an in store visit to BEGIN to resolve the issue. I use an iPad Pro, and Amazon certainly doesn’t behave this poorly. Apparently you’re supposed to use the first number on your rewards card but not the last number! One thing is the search feature, you have to be very specific in order to find what you are looking for, if you’re lucky to find it at all. Sometimes I’ll have a couple results turn up for a search and other times I have stuff show up that doesn’t make sense with what I searched for. This could be user error, however I do not have this issue with other grocery apps I use. Another issue that could be improved is the information available on each item page. The nutrition facts are usually totally incorrect or not filled in at all, and key information is often missing from the product description. One key thing missing is the ingredient list! So many people use the ingredient list when deciding to buy a product.This is important to have available if you are giving the option for grocery pickup or delivery where you will not be physically getting the items yourself, therefore you are not able to see the information in person before purchasing the product. If I am being totally honest, the subpar experience with this app and the troubles I have listed are enough to turn me off from shopping here as I do much of my shopping, either via grocery pickup or just grocery list building, using grocery apps. Not shopping here due to these issues is unfortunate as I have seen multiple items that I buy frequently are often cheaper at Weis than competitors in my area. There is no way to block certain drivers or submit problems with your order in the app. I ordered a $14 rotisserie and even though I paid for it, I never received it. I had to go through the general inquiry forms on Weis’ website and explained the exact problem, along with my order number (which has my card information) and the store location. I didn’t receive a refund. I received a voicemail from someone who works there asking me to call them back. Why should I have to call them when they have all of the information they need to provide me a refund? My password was denied multiple times and I had to create another one multiple times, again refused right after a new one was created and accepted. Had to change my email because I couldn’t sign in under my email that I normally use. Despite a store being picked as my favorite, it defaults when I open the app to another store. When I try to use it at the register, it conveniently has logged me out and requires authentication. Employees seem aware of the issue but are unable to honor the advertised discounts when the app does not work, making many sales feel misleading and inaccessible. Customers should not have to struggle with technical problems just to receive advertised pricing. If the company cannot maintain a reliable coupon system, they should offer another way to apply discounts. After a horrible 6 months with Giant in Hatfield, Weis always pulls through and does a great job pulling and delivering my groceries. Sharon always calls and checks with me if there are any questions. She is absolutely awesome and she goes above and beyond! Everyone at Lansdale does.
