Good idea, but this app doesn’t allow me to make a password for samba, where I can access the drive via the network. Also unable to download the images back onto my device. 

Please sort it out

This App is terrible.. Cannot view content on my Orico NAS. Tried everything. Restart NAS work for a couple of minutes then stops. Sometime photo do not load on iPad..

Easily, one of the worst modern apps Ive used.

Allows you to Sign In with Apple on iOS and iPadOS, but when you get to the Mac there is no option to Sign In with Apple! 🤦🏻‍♂️

On iPad, the UI is broken. The scaling from the iPhone UI to iPad was obviously never tested. Most of the UI text has disappeared on iPadOS.

Adding another user to your “Node” or NAS is an exasperating workflow of scanning QR codes, sending requests to access, not getting confirmation to allow users to join the Node, and horrible user management.

Aside from Nodes, you also have Networks. How the two relate or differ from each other is a mystery. Weline makes no attempt to explain this. It’s a convoluted mess.

You’re forced to use Weline’s VPN to do anything with your NAS. Crazy sus.

Thank god there’s Samba which works well enough. Just turn that on and set it up so you don’t have to deal with Weline’s janky application.

If i want use this app I have to connect to VPN first. The VPN connection is not stable at all, sometimes I cannot connect. It’s frustrating. Please get rid of the VPN

App not really user friendly, seems lot bug. For example, Allow create group but unable add member and add user with verification but no notification to grant approval. Quite ridiculous.

After upload video file from iPhone 2 out of 15 times there are some file that corrupted and cannot play. This is reliable issue.

27/11/24 Found more corrupt files, lose an hour video footage. I suggested who using this App may need another backup method. This app has reliable issue.

Seen some really good reviews on the NAS drive I bought. Can upload photos no problem from phone. Docs, music cannot for the life of me get it to upload. Tried Mac as well and exactly the same problem.

My node was using high speed line. I can not disable it bc it was removed the option! And I cant connect to the node bc the app says I must be connected to the high speed line, and when I try to connect to the high speed line it says accelerated service is not available. I cant access my own data!

This app does not work well. I have a 600 Mbps internet connection, and while uploading files every 5 minutes the node disconnects even when it’s in the same room. Many functions such as restart or safe shutdown do not work. The app does not allow photo files from anywhere other than the gallery. It’s a nightmare — DO NOT BUY IT!

Do not waste your money buying any piece of garbage that runs on this software. Nothing works right and the worst part of it is you really hope it does because it claims to do some good stuff. The problem is they have such lousy customer service that if there is a way to get it to work, you will never be able to find it out. Anything you bought that runs this garbage software, you just wasted all of your money.

Since I bought the NAS, it is useless. There is no way to creat an account with my mail or cellphone. Nothing os sent to both. As it happens, Incant login in NAS through Samba. The app do not permit to change password with no mail or cellphone confirmation ( I also try to use google login and I cant change password cause impossible to send codes to cellphone. Its a deadlock. Product is useless

The application doesn’t work at all. It says error in the system. Imágenes cannot be displayed.

No thumbnails are displayed. It's terrible that I uploaded an image but didn't see the thumbnail. Developers should test the system and keep improving and fixing bugs. They shouldn't create a program and then not update it.

Software muito ruim. Não se consegue cadastrar e-mail ou o telefone. Você fica aguardando o PIN de confirmação que nunca vem. Só consegui fazer login com o acesso do Google ou Facebook.
Tentei usar via Windows mas o QR-Code sempre dá inválido.

The app is simple but fulfills its purpose. For users who just want to do backups, remote file management and up to 10 simultaneous users, it does everything very well. The app has some bugs that do not hinder usability but need to be ironed out. 

Weline has a transfer limit of 2mb/s for devices on different networks, but this is not an obstacle to downloading or uploading photos and videos, as it is designed for home use. However, on the local network this value rises to 80mb/s and if you connect to the usbc 3.2 port it supports up to 500mb/s on average!

My conclusion is that it is worth the price charged, in addition to the design of the Metabox being, in my opinion, the most beautiful among NAS. So, if you want to have a NAS for home use and the basics for small businesses, it's well worth it.

Now we can wait for improvements to the Weline app.

연결만 잘 되면 나스로써 사용하기 정말괜찮은거 같은데
전원이 들어와 있는데도 불구하고 오프라인으로 꺼져있는 상태로 뜹니다. 5g 와이파이를 사용하고 바로 옆에서 지켜보면서 하고 있는데도 업로드하다가 갑자기 끈겨서 오프라인 되버리고..개선이 필요합니다.

В целом работой удовлетворен - между тройкой и четверкой, но решил поставить 4. За ту стоимость в два раза ниже ds124 - грех жаловаться. 

Но есть минусы несомненно :

1. Зачем-то поднимается впн при работе в приложении . Возможно это связано с тем, что оно предназначено для иностранцев , которые удаленно подключаются к серверам в Китае. Но это лишь догадки. На пхоне все изолируется между приложениями , думаю это все не критично

2. Кривоватый перевод

Остальное уже по мере пользования допишу, если прям что-то критичное вылезет. Если нет, то дополнять не буду

Базово свои функции выполняет. Использую DM3 с WD Ultrastar бушный впихнул как файлопомойку, что если что-то потеряется - не критично, не помру, пока доверить данные другие не могу сюда точно . 
В РФ Вроде как все подключается

Товарищам производителям нужно учесть сомнения пользователей насчет впн. Изучите приложения других производителей, уберите это и множество сомнений сразу отойдет

The user experience is very challenging and requires familiarization given that are almost no tutorial except for youtube and youtube reviewers. Likewise, backup features for pictures lack offerings to free up space and categorize images per person. Nonetheless, it serves its purpose as a nas.
