## What is Wengu?

Remember Chinese, forever.

Wengu is the HSK flashcard app that schedules every word on your memory, not on a calendar. Powered by FSRS-6, the open-source algorithm Anki now ships by default, it brings a word back on the day you were about to forget it. Not a day early, not a week late.

Start free with HSK 1 and HSK 2, forever. No ads, no clock, no card on file.

WHY WORDS STAY
Every card carries three numbers. Stability is how long the word survives in your head. Difficulty is how much work it costs you. Retrievability is the odds you recall it right now. FSRS-6 updates all three from your own answers, so the schedule follows your forgetting curve, not an average learner's. You review less and remember more, and a forecast chart shows exactly what tomorrow will ask of you.

THE WHOLE HSK, ONE APP
• 11,000 HSK 3.0 words across all seven bands, HSK 1–6 and the 7–9 band, plus the classic HSK 2.0 lists
• Audio pronunciation, tone-colored pinyin and kaiti hanzi on every card
• Example sentences that show each word in real use, with audio
• 知新 Stories: narrated short stories written for your level, with tap-to-look-up words, new stories added regularly
• 成语 Idiom books: curated courses of idioms with literal meanings, real meanings and the stories behind them
• Practical Chinese: numbers, dates and the Chinese calendar

A SESSION THAT FEELS GOOD
• One gesture per card: swipe left for hard, right for good, up for easy
• Tap to reveal, hear the word, move on. Ten minutes a day is enough
• A red seal stamps every finished session
• Streaks, weekly rings, a year heatmap and Game Center achievement seals
• A Word of the Hour widget for your Home Screen and Lock Screen
• Study reminders you choose, never marketing pushes

STUDY ANYWHERE
Words and audio live on your phone, so a session works on a plane or a subway with no signal. Reviews sync when you are back. Offline is how Wengu works, not something you unlock.

FREE AND PRO
HSK 1 and HSK 2 are free forever, every feature and every story written for those bands. Every higher band, and the first idiom book, opens with a free set of words so you can start before you decide. Wengu Complete unlocks the full 11,000-word set, every idiom book and every story. Try it free, cancel anytime, and your progress is always kept.

PRIVACY
No ads. No tracking. No advertising SDKs. The only analytics is subscription and purchase analytics, tied to your account. Sign in with Apple or a one-time email code, sync your progress across devices and reinstalls, and delete your account from inside the app whenever you like.

Wengu Complete renews automatically until cancelled. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation, and you can manage or cancel it in Settings at any time.

DESIGNED TO BE QUIET
Warm xuan-paper light, brush-drawn hanzi, one vermilion seal. No confetti, no leaderboards you didn't ask for, nothing that nags. Just the next word, at the right time.

温故而知新 — review what is old, and know what is new.
