## What is weReci?

Your recipes, beautifully kept.

weReci is a quiet home for the recipes that matter to you — gathered from anywhere, easy to cook from, and always yours.

SAVE FROM ANYWHERE
Share a link, a photo of a handwritten card, or a cooking video into your cookbook straight from any app's share sheet. weReci reads it, tidies it up, and credits where it came from. The typing is done for you. The cooking stays yours.

SCAN THE PAGE
Point the camera at a cookbook spread or an index card and the text lifts off the page — a grandparent's handwriting included.

COOK FROM IT
A step-by-step cook mode built for the stove rather than the screen. Scale a recipe to the number of people at the table, swap an ingredient you don't have, and move between steps with a wave of your hand when they're covered in flour.

ON THE BIG SCREEN
Put Cook Mode on the TV: an Apple TV through AirPlay, a Chromecast or Google TV, or any screen with a browser. The step goes up in type you can read from across the kitchen, and your phone stays the remote.

FIND IT AGAIN
Search the way you actually think. Ask for a cozy weeknight dinner and get the dishes, not the word matches. Or drop in a photo and search by what it sees.

IT CURATES ITSELF
Your collection organizes into shelves worth browsing, resurfacing things you'd forgotten you had — connected by ingredients, people, places, and seasons.

SHOP TOGETHER
Build a shopping list from any set of recipes, sorted by the aisles you actually walk, and share it with whoever is at the store. Both phones stay in step: a tick from one shows up on the other.

NOT ONLY RECIPES
Letters in a grandparent's handwriting, the kids' art too good for the fridge door, ticket stubs and postcards. They keep here too, shelved beside the dishes.

SHARE DELIBERATELY
Pass a recipe to the few people who matter, or share a whole cookbook with one other person and cook from it together. No feed, no followers, no audience to perform for.

IN YOUR LANGUAGE
The whole app in 17 languages, and recipes that translate for whoever is reading them — saved in one language, cooked in another.

YOURS, AND STAYING THAT WAY
Export or delete your collection at any time. We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use your collection to train models. AI here is transparent and optional — see what it does, bring your own key, dial it down, or switch it off entirely.

Free while we grow. Your recipes come with you if you ever leave.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-09-18

ON AN APPLE TV
Cook Mode now goes up on an Apple TV, or anything else you AirPlay to. Turn on Screen Mirroring in Control Center, tap the TV icon in Cook Mode, and the mirror gives way to the TV layout: the step in big type with its ingredients beside it. Your iPhone or iPad stays the remote. Turn the steps there, and open the Ingredients drawer to put the whole list on the TV. It needs no new permission.

ONE BUTTON FOR EVERY SCREEN
The TV icon now names all three ways onto a screen: Apple TV or AirPlay, Chromecast or Google TV, or a code for anything with a browser.

Plus the usual round of smaller fixes.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-17

ON YOUR TV
Cook Mode can now find the TVs and smart displays on your Wi-Fi. Tap the TV icon, pick your Chromecast, Google TV or Nest Hub, and the recipe goes up on the big screen, one step at a time with its ingredients beside it. The TV's remote turns the steps, so your phone can stay out of the flour. The first time, iOS asks whether weReci may look for devices on your local network; finding your TV is all that is used for. Pairing with a code still works for any other screen with a browser.

ON A MAC
Right-click works again. Command-plus and Command-minus zoom the page, Command-0 returns to normal size, and Command-R reloads.

Plus the usual round of smaller fixes.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-09-16

SHARE A RECIPE AS TEXT
Sharing from another recipe app — or from any app that hands over the recipe as text rather than a link — now lands in weReci. Share it, and the ingredients and steps become a recipe in your collection. If what arrived was not a recipe, the app says so instead of saving a blank card.

FILES WITHOUT A NAME
A recipe exported without a file extension imports too, as long as what is inside is really text.

Plus the usual round of smaller fixes.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-15

SHARED LISTS THAT TELL YOU
A shopping list you share now nudges the other phone when something is added, when the shopping starts, and when it's finished. The notification carries nothing but the nudge — your phone fills in the rest — and you can turn any kind of it off in Settings.

LINKS THAT LAND
A weReci link tapped anywhere on your phone now opens straight to the right recipe in the app, instead of bouncing you through the browser.

IT FEELS LIKE AN APP NOW
An accidental over-pull no longer reloads everything mid-cook. Text stops selecting itself under your thumb while you scroll. The app runs edge to edge, and pinching a photo zooms the photo rather than the whole page.

Plus the usual round of smaller fixes.
