WeSafe is a privacy-first personal safety app that turns one tap into a coordinated emergency response. PRIVACY-FIRST BY DESIGN • No address book access. WeSafe does not request the Contacts permission and does not declare NSContactsUsageDescription. The system contact picker is the only way to add an emergency contact. • Encrypted by default. All data in transit and at rest is encrypted via Firebase. SOS media uploads go to your account in Cloudinary; live audio and video use end-to-end encrypted LiveKit transport. • Pseudonymous identifiers only. Your Firebase user ID is the only ID linked to your activity. No advertising IDs, no tracking, no analytics. • Zero permissions required. The app is fully functional even if you deny location, microphone, camera, contacts, and push notifications. • No purchase needed. WeSafe is free and contains no in-app purchases or paid tipping.
