Do you guys ever use your own app and make improvements? ### 2/5 — Map Zoom Out *2024-04-16* Latest update zooms map out after selecting a station and then navigation and zooming back in is next to impossible. The station is only 2 miles from my house so I figure it’s reporting accurate conditions at the house. However, in the past few weeks the NWS forecast will not load. Came to it after a perfectly good website closed and disliked it immediately. Wish the old website was still available. Ain’t that something? ### 2/5 — 24H Charts don’t work *2022-05-29, version 2.0* I have an iPhone 13 and the 24 hour charts are blank. Any idea if that will get fixed? ### 2/5 — Was five stars *2022-05-17, version 2.0* Was five stars but now the 24hr charts no longer work. As someone else wrote would like to see the rain totals carry over past midnight to maybe a 48hr running total. ### 4/5 — It’s ok. *2021-06-14, version 2.0* The android version is better! Today I thought I needed to reload…and did. WHOA!!! What were you thinking! Change sometimes is good but this new version is not… not going to adapt. I’ve told dozens of people for years about this TTU innovation. What a shame to screw it up because new folks came in and thought it needed tweaking. Geez…. What were you guys thinking? And who let them them do it? I’m 68 years old and have never given a rating to anything until today. Now I have to give at least a star to send review in to this bunch of nerd wits… boo. Rick Stinnett ### 1/5 — Broken more often than not : edited *2022-09-16* ETA: So buggy! It rained like crazy all over The South Plains but no data for that. Come on, Texas Tech. Do better. I hoped this would be easy to use/share data than the website but the detail view has been broken off and on for months. The website has the data but is too dense to read. I’m surprised because Texas Tech has such advanced weather research facilities. ### 1/5 — Very little practical information *2019-10-11* Loved the old website that was much easier to navigate. This site may be good for scientific purposes but for the average user that wants to look at wind speeds, temperature & rainfall totals that go back more than 24 hours it’s useless. The graphs are useless to most people. ### 2/5 — Update broke it *2025-03-15* I’ve used this app for a few years and it worked great until I did the last update. I can view weather stations, but I can’t save them any more. This app uses information from instruments right here in my immediate area.
