(They also made Froglike if you haven’t played that one yet.) The gameplay here is so smart, so many strategic choices. Block, Load, Shoot. Sounds simple enough. But each option has its own reason it can’t be spammed. The PvP is awesome. It feels so good to outsmart your opponent. The AI also feels good. Smart but isn’t oppressive, and you get hints as to what the AI will prioritize. The visuals are awesome and totally wacky. Love the art style! Overall, a well made game. A game made with love and care. Check this one out! ### 5/5 — Great game *2022-07-15, version 1.0* You should at least try play the game if you don’t really like it but honestly great game. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Ad generator *2022-08-08, version 1.03* It’s just an ad generator with a nice shell ### 2/5 — Major freeze bug *2022-08-31* Playing in airplane mode to test to see if the game runs offline, which it does. Only problem is after I kill an opponent (offline). The game slows down and then freezes at the “quote line” after I defeat them. Resulting in a restart to the app everytime is very annoying. If this bug gets fixed and the game becomes playable I will support the game with a purchase! 2/5 stars for now as I like the design and idea of the game. Please fix it ### 4/5 — Very fun, great style, just a few issues *2022-08-27, version 1.03* This game is great and I’d definitely recommend giving it a try. The art it super fun, the game is simple yet exciting, and the skins for the abilities are all creative. There are a few things that do make this game lacking however, such as the ability to gain loot. The system they use is you get 10 whistles and it uses one up to collect the loot you got from defeating your opponent - but each level has around 5 enemies to begin with and the loot isn’t all the great so it’s a very slow progression. That’s not enough to make it 4 stars though, if that was the only qualm I had about this game it would certainly still be 5. The biggest issue I have is power ups in pvp. It really ruins the game, giving a limited resource to use in pvp makes it sorta p2w but you want to save those power ups for you story run. The power ups for pvp should either be mandatory to use or removed altogether. All in all this is still a great game and I think it’d be perfect with a few minor tweaks. I also think a way to emote or quick chat with your pvp opponents would be pretty cool ! ### 4/5 — I love this game *2022-08-18, version 1.03* I love this game and the only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 is because I really want a customizable avatar to play through the story with. ### 4/5 — Good concept, hate the way powerups are used *2022-08-10, version 1.03* I really like the concept of this game. I like the limited ammo and shield because it adds more strategy. However, I hate that powerups are pretty much required to get anywhere in the campaign and PVP. Without powerups you will not get far. Also, it would be cool if you could see what powerup players use in PVP because quickshot is by far the best powerup. Having to guess whether to block or load the first turn makes the game a lot less fun. ### 4/5 — Fun and simple, but narrow strategy in PvP *2022-08-07, version 1.03* Game needs more variety and strategy for me to play, but I would still recommend this game to other people ### 5/5 — Amazing game *2026-03-28, version 1.03* I never write reviews, but I felt the need to say that this game could be much more than what it currently is. It has captivating artwork/visuals, simple gameplay mechanics, a lovable pet, and addicting gameplay. This has potential to be its own fictional universe/ story world. I would easily pay money for a roguelike, slay-the-spire type game with Westurn’s look, feel, and gameplay loop. Add damage numbers, health bars, passive items to boost your runs and you have a top charts roguelike that I wouldn’t hesitate to pay for. It feel so good to outsmart your opponent but I also have problem with the power-up in pvp, it feel a bit p2w. Another suggestion is that in pvp, you can put at least 1 power as free while all other need to be bought with either in-game or real money.
