It connects and I get good dl. But it can’t even food google anymore. ### 2/5 — No way to contact support within the app *2022-02-09, version 1.6.14* Or the website so weak & disappointing. Other than that it’s awesome. I just don’t know how my account was discontinued. I was totally happy with it other than having to check it to see if it’s connected. But inside of settings when I click nothing toggles on, no visible or audible change. Sigh I really want dark mode ### 2/5 — Definitely hoped for this to be better... *2021-01-12, version 1.4.8* Upon testing with the 7 day free trial it had continued issues with staying connected. Also, while at home with my home WiFi set as a Trusted Network, the vpn would not turn off. On top of not turning off on trusted networks it still had connection issues, so when it would fail to hold a connection, it continues to try to connect and fail which caused my overall connection to be nonexistent. The UI is great but unfortunately the main goal function of the app just greatly underperformed. Needs some work but I’m definitely willing to check it out again in the future. For now I’m sticking with Nord VPN. ### 2/5 — Data issues *2021-01-06, version 1.4.8* App works well when it works. I initially though my phone was the issue until I noticed it was WeVPN. The app disconnects me from data. 5G, LTE, 4G, and even WiFi. It shows I’m connected but I have no data coming in. I won’t renew my subscription. Considering WeVPN is very new compared to many other VPN services on the market. I have stumbled upon a bug with the widget which causes the VPN to disconnect. I have not had any other issues and I am very happy with the service. I’m sure the widget problem will be addressed soon. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for WeVPN. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible. *2022-10-13, version 1.6.26* I’m sorry but this is the worst most terrible VPN app I have used. It worked fine for like a month and out of nowhere it doesn’t auto connect anymore. Three issues I always deal with. If I get on a public wifi it doesn’t auto connect. I go to the app and it just stays in the loading screen. I have to disconnect from the wifi to then connect to then see if it works. Somehow, the app signs off my account randomly so I can’t confidently say that it works. Lastly the UI is a mess. More than anything the auto connect tab. You can’t untrust a network after you put it in the trust category. Save your money. Go to another vpn service. ### 1/5 — Slow ! Slow !! Slow !!! *2022-04-25, version 1.6.19* Its really really slow. I tried Nord VPN because I found WeVpn to be really slow and I was right. WeVpn is crawling. Nord is 10X faster. I bought the subscription for this and now I regret it. ### 1/5 — Not ready for prime time *2022-04-06, version 1.6.18* Do NOT buy wevpn as a subscription on apple - they happily take your $50 for an annual subscription, then cancel you after two months claiming they can’t prove apple paid them, they offer you no recourse, and conveniently you are now beyond the 60 day refund window so apple wont give you a refund. I have tried to work this out with them and with apple and both blame the other. It is as much a technical glitch as it is a crime. Go elsewhere for VPN services. ### 1/5 — It works I guess *2021-11-29, version 1.6.14* Wish I had done more research before buying the 30 month(?) package. The app takes forever to load, and I can’t even sign into the website to find out how much I paid for. It randomly signs me out of the app, and it takes forever to sign back in. It’s not like I have a bad phone, I have a new iPhone 13 pro. The amount of data it uses is astronomical. I understand how it works, but it’s easily used 10-15 gigs for itself just on cellular, running 24/7. Gonna turn off auto-connect on cellular. This is the first time I’m actually reviewing an app so that other people know not to use it. If these features were fixed, then I would happily change my review to 5 stars. ### 1/5 — Worked for 3 days *2021-10-30, version 1.6.12* This vpn service worked for 3 days and then kept me on vpn without being able to undo it. When I try to stop it, it wants me to subscribe when I’m already subscribed and I’m actually on it. The problem is I cannot undo it for some apps that prohibit a vpn. I was logged out during an app update. I used my password to log back in and the app said my password or username was not accurate. I’m not a Luddite. I have iCloud Keychain with the username and password stored. So like a good soldier, I reset the password. I was expecting an email with a link, nothing. I wrote them and asks what I was missing and they said the email I tried was not associated with any account. I then give them every email I’ve ever used in the last 10 years. None associated with their account and they can’t help me. I took a screenshot of the purchase order which had the Apple ID and email used. They can see I’m being charged for their service, but they say to talk with Apple. What does Apple have to do with your terrible service? Now I’m out $30 and they still won’t help me. Run! Run far, far away from this service. They will milk you dry and turn you to the wolves. I’ve been working on this for months now and I get the same auto-reply-type response. No offers to refund, no other solutions, just we can’t help you unless you give us the email used to create the account. I did! And the order number. I even forwarded all of my emails to Apple (who says they can’t help me either) and every other email I would have “never” used because I only use one! ### 1/5 — Bad support *2021-02-08, version 1.4.10* I contacted them because I accidentally bought the year membership when I wanted to get the month membership to try it out. They said transactions are final and they were not able to change that. Guess now I’m stuck with it for a year. Great Team! *2020-12-25, version 1.4.7* The VPN is a VPN I have personally helped improve from their time roughly near release—when they just opened the discord server. The VPN at this point was unbearably buggy and since has improved so dramatically that honestly it deserves an award for how much of an great improvement it has had in the recent 8-10 months! I had so many issues my first two months but after testing and reporting many many bugs directly to the Board of Directors—including the CEO. The VPN has improved well beyond words. Not only is it extremely fast with all the latest and greatest protocols but it’s cheap, has a great team, good looking app, and all the VPN features you would wish for—stream compatibility, Auto and Always Killswitch (yes it can be disabled), custom DNS options, many servers and some of them with port forward capabilities... and more. And I wanna say to Alex, Zero, Matt, Jayson (ex-employee), Nathan, and Jeff... thanks for being great individuals and so willing for any and every question to be thrown your way positive or negative!
