## What is WeWhisperer for WeMo?

When Belkin shut down the WeMo cloud, working hardware stopped answering. WeWhisperer brings it back — talking to your devices directly over your own Wi-Fi, with no account to create and nobody's servers in between.

I have a smart switch in the new home I’m renting and after going down the rabbit hole with WeMO and their now defunct app, I thought I was out of luck… UNTIL I FOUND THIS! I can control it right from their app! I tried like 11 others that didn’t work. I’m so grateful. THANKYOU!!!

Wanted to try setting up a Wemo device first before buying. So I activate the free trial, go in and start the setup process. I then connect to the wemo network, and go back to the app, only to be kicked out and told to connect to the internet to resume the free trial. Worthless.

**Developer response:** Hello, please update to version 3.0 and try again. It should work now. If not, please contact support.

I have been using my Wemo light switches since the shutdown via home assistant and then had to restart one which decided to reset vs restart. I thought I was going to have to replace it, until I found this app on a google search.  I was able to setup the app and add back my wall switch in less than 5 minutes. Thank you!

Love the UI for being able to quickly toggle the existing lights also as a backup to home assistant.
