## What is WF Favorites Watch?

Product Subscription: 3 days free then: Annual, $2US/month for 12 months - $24.00US

Questions answered on your wrist by this app (in metric or imperial measurements):

1. What's it blowing right now?
2. What will the wind will do over the next couple of hours?
3. When can we go again?
4. Were exactly is this sensor (weather station)?
5. Is it going to storm on me within the next 30 minutes?

Primary Features:

- Choose from one of your pre-configured Weatherflow-Tempest Favorite's Profiles
- Lists spots from chosen Favorite's Profile
- Displays current wind speed, direction, lull and gust values, time of last update
- Displays Station/Spot name
- Displays line chart with past two hours history and next hour of wind prediction
- Displays bar chart with next seven days of wind prediction
- Displays map with spot location and animated weather radar for previous few hours and next 30 minutes
- Place watch in WaterLock mode to prevent screen interaction while on the water
- Data automatically updates every 5 minutes

Watch Complications (Widgets)

- Tap any widget to open the app
- Corner & Circular widgets show wind direction (arrow) and wind speed in text
- Rectangular widgets show line chart and text with spot name and current speed

You can set the watch complications as you normally would for any watch app. Follow the instructions found on the Apple website to install your complications: https://support.apple.com/guide/watch/customize-the-watch-face-apda6559ad78/watchos

Caveats/Notes:

- WaterLock mode requires permissions for workout and health data to be collected. You will have to authorize those features on the watch before WaterLock will work.
-- The app does not collect or use this data in anyway - it is only necessary to allow WaterLock to work

- Complications/Widgets will only display correctly/appropriately on a full-color watch face due to the nature of the information provided
-- Color has meaning in this app and can only be provided correctly in full-color watch faces
-- The widget data will be stale if the app is not running or has not been started

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 4.4 — 2026-01-11

Fixed background update issue.

### 4.0 — 2025-06-29

Workout sessions, Wind Speed Alerts, Bar Charts for TRRM, iK-WRF, iK-HRRR, Blend & NAM3k. Set a wind speed threshold in Settings and when your selected spot exceeds that threshold receive a ping and haptic notification. Workout sessions now track energy burned, heart rate and distance to report into Apple Health so you can track your sessions as workouts. Simply activate water lock to start the session and clear the water lock to automatically end the workout session. The new bar charts are the exact same charts as seen in the Weatherflow-Tempest lifestyle apps.

### 3.9.5 — 2025-05-31

Some connectivity bug fixes. WaterLock is back. While in the water you have the choice to lock the display. If you do, you also activate a Workout session on your watch that will contribute to your workout stats and closing your rings. Some UI updates were also made.
