Very disappointing, I love watching WFTV and it has always been my go to news and weather app. ### 4/5 — Love the NEWS Station and Broadcasters! *2026-05-25, version 8.9.8* I watch WFTV on my TV, almost every morning and evening before I fall asleep. * Sporadically in my porch I’ll watch from my iPAD and it does 2 things I wish would be fixed….   1. I have to turn myiPad sideways, then BACK to get it full screen. 2. If I pause for more than a few seconds, it freezes ad I have to get out of the App and start over ** Cassie is great! I go to the app only to learn it was a story reported days before and there were no changes or updates. I only have a few apps that I allow notifications so I don’t get so many in a day, but I will delete the WFTV notifications and start getting them from Fox 35 app instead. Also they list the same story in multiple locations so that it looks like there is a lot of content . ### 3/5 — Great Staff *2025-09-14, version 8.9.6* The NEWS is Really informative and to the point. Way too many commercials, especially the steals and deals (stop selling me and acting like it’s part of the NEWS it’s another ad), more commercials/ads than actual content. ### 2/5 — Average app-updated review *2025-04-06* Update: How about fewer political stories (which are biased anyway) and more local news and sports??? No mention that a Florida team made it to the NCAA finals. Or any other sports info. The app could be improved by including more news stories. There are only a few stories that are repeated a few times which makes it look like a lot of items. Without the casting option, this app is not as functional. You get a notice of a headline, that is great. Then you click the notification, the news story related for the headline is no where to be found. It’s worthless, just stream from safari. I hope they didn’t pay for the development of this. And a whole host of other issues. When I receive a news break in, the link to the story doesn’t always work. It’s very difficult to find articles if they’re not one of the five displayed on the main page. Then it’s filled with so many ads, there’s more ads than story once you open an article. It’s disappointing that such a good news station has such a terrible app. News station has gone downhill since changing all the anchors too ### 1/5 — This app is broken. *2024-07-12, version 8.8.12* This app plays two videos at once and you can’t even find the video that is playing Audio in the background to pause it, then when you try to pause the video that you see is playing both audios keep playing. Seems like a 4 year old put this app together. Shows how much they pay attention to their technical team/support. I do like to keep updated on what’s going on in my community as I travel. I have tried several other news apps to my disappointment. WFTV 9 has raised the bar.
