It broke things down so that I was able to give the students strategies which initially I provided with written and pictured visuals. Then I was able to gradually fade all cues and use only the app. By the time they had completed the app 100% of these students were able to discriminate between the question forms verbally and in writing. ### 4/5 — Still learning the app! *2017-12-26* The only reason I haven’t given it a 5 Star is because I’m still learning the app! Wish the sentences are more meaningful and more connection. ### 4/5 — It’s time to review the WH questions. *2015-12-10* Practice understanding the differences between who, what, where, when, why, and how. This sample app does a nice job of practice; however, it is not engaging, as the question the child needs to answer is exactly the same throughout- "What is added to the second sentence?” A suggestion would be to incorporate pictures within some of the answers to change the practice up some, yet still keep the user's interest. There’s a rewards section for the kids, as well as a parent/teacher section for seeing each individual child’s progress. ### 4/5 — Teacher *2015-12-03* Working with special needs' young adults, it’s difficult finding apps that appeal to them, without being too “little kid-like”. This app appealed to my grade 9/10 students because it was clear and easy to navigate without having to do too much instructions reading. I was able to leave my students to their own work after only one session and they could self navigate. Their only comment was that they enjoyed the music too much and so found it distracting! The best part that my students loved was the way that the rewards section was set up.
