Die funktioniert grundsätzlich was sie aber für € 10,99 auch sollte.. 
Die Einbettung von Deezer ist unglaublich umständlich und macht keinen Spaß! Ein update wäre doch mal wieder drin-oder?

### 3/5 — Mit Apple TV 4 wieder nutzbar, Dokumentation überholt

Leider funktionierte die App mit dem aktuellen Apple TV einige Zeit nicht mehr, wurde inzwischen jedoch aktualisiert, die Dokumentation allerdings nicht, was sehr verwirrt.

Im Feedback der App findet man nämlich seit längerer Zeit dies: 
Durch Änderungen seitens Apple Funktionieren AppleTV 4 mit tvOS 10.2 oder neuer nicht mehr mit der WHAALE-App. Wir versuchen aktuell, Apple diesbezüglich zu kontaktieren.

Nach Kontakt mit WHAALE wurde mir am 22.12.2018 mitgeteilt im September 2018 sei das Problem behoben worden. Ich erhielt ein Popup, das Airplay Passwort sei aktiviert, man solle die FAQ in der Hilfe lesen. Nur das Passwort war nicht aktiviert.

Weiterhin habe ich den FAQ und der Hilfe vertraut, wonach kein Airplay Passwort unterstützt wird. Dort steht ausdrücklich:
Password-Sicherung: Bitte stell sicher, dass der Lautsprecher KEIN AirPlay-Passwort gesetzt hat. WHAALE unterstützt keine durch Passwort gesicherten Lautsprecher und kann sich nicht mit ihnen verbinden.

Zufällig fand ich heraus, dass das Gegenteil der Fall ist und die App bei aktiviertem Airplay Passwort nach Eingabe des Passworts funktioniert.

Rückmeldung von WHAALE: Apple hat geändert, dass entweder Passwort-Authentikation oder PIN-Authentikation ein Muss ist. Daher haben wir Passwort-Authentikation implementiert.
Unser Benutzerhandbuch ist leider noch nicht up-to-date.

As Bowers and Wilkins don't appear to be able to match the versatility of Sonos (offering you the ability to stream music to multiple airplay speakers from your phone or tablet I thought I'd try Whaale app to solve the problem. Downloaded the lite version.. Utter rubbish! Not intuitive, sound stutters, complex menus and options.
Won't pay for full version if free app is this bad.

Not for me. The concept is great, but it's too complex. Maybe it's trying to do too much, but being a demo version it saves buying it  to find it's not what you want so full marks for that.

He probado la versión de pago y la he devuelto por los siguientes motivos: 
Cara y muy limitada. 
- 10€ que cuesta ya es bastante, tienes  aparte que pagar plus por internet radio, reproducir en red, añadir más de un tercer altavoz y otras funciones funciones. (Ver compras dentro de la App y ir sumando). 
- imposibilidad de reproducir spotify ni con audiobus. 
- imposibilidad de reproducir cualquier contenido de YouTube, Apple Music, audio de dispositivo en general, etc... 
- deezer muy limitado, como no tengas suscripción de pago, no vale para nada. No permite reproducción entera de canciones, (solo 30 segundos) ni con publicidad como en la App deezer original. 
Mejorable en todos estos aspectos. 
Sería muy interesante si permitiera hacer reproducción AirPlay múltiple total del audio del dispositivo, como ya lo hace airfoil y otros programas en Mac. 
Si lo leen esta reseña los desarrolladores por favor tomen nota ya que creo que si lo modifican sería un éxito en ventas.

Instable je n'arrive même pas à connecter deux appareils airplay deezer est quasiment inutilisable hors je suis abonné bref inacceptable !

I design apps for a living and really hate to crap on someone else's work, but the UI of this app is overly complicated and makes little sense. I don't understand why the developers added all these unnecessary bells and whistles instead of focusing on making the app easy to use without having to read a bunch of long help alerts.

Ich würde gern 5 Sterne geben, aber: 
Leider funktioniert die Lautstärkeregelung nicht gut. Die Einstiegslautstärke ist viel zu hoch und bei geringen Lautstärken kann man dann gar nicht mehr regeln und die einzelnen Lautstärken abstimmen!
Schade! Ärgere mich jedesmal und wechsele dann doch zu iTunes!
Mit gut 20€ und mehr sehr teuer!
Guter Ansatz, aufwendige Grafik (nicht mein Geschmack), gutes Tutorial, gute Einstellmöglichkeiten, etc. aber leider die schlechte Lautstärkeregelung! 
Wieviel Sterne? 
5, wenn das behoben wird. Eigentlich 0, so wie es jetzt ist!

Wow, this is a very very complicated app built for something so simple - play your music to more than one AirPlay speaker at the same time. This is the free demo, which is great because you can test it out before you buy. In my case, it demonstrated why I shouldn't buy the app. I watched the video, followed all the onscreen tips, but haven't managed to get any music to play at all. Life's too short to learn how to use this app. Let's just hope Apple eventually lets you select more than one AirPlay speaker.

Тестирую приложение уже несколько недель. Задумка отличная, аналогов я не видел - приложение раздает звук на несколько airplay приемников, настраивается множество параметров (в платной версии), все бы хорошо но - 
- периодически некоторые приемники выключаются. Ошибка связана с лицензированием совместного доступа к регулировке громкости (для этого требуется отдельная платная опция). Но откуда ей взяться если я управляю громкостью один?
- последнее обновление по сути сделало неработоспособным само приложение - звук играет около минуты, потом просто источники просто перестают реагировать на что либо, приложение приходится перезапускать.

Я очень сильно хочу купить платную версию, но кажется что приложение сыровато для платного.

Not even able to test on multiple AirPlay sources prior to purchase, ugly GUI, full of restrictions and a huge disappointment. No flexibility in dlna or home server setup, a lot of pointless functionality where simplicity would have been the way forwards.

Die Testversion hat Songs aus dem Abo von Apple Music an alle Lautsprecher übertragen. Daraufhin die Vollversion für 7,99€ gekauft. Und was ist: die Lieder werden nicht abgespielt! Plötzlich heißt es: Invalid Title. Na danke!!!
Das ist doch Beschiss. Hab den Kauf rückgängig gemacht.

I bought an airport express to hook to one of my docks. Then I plugged my phone into another dock. All I want is to play the same music from both docks at the same time. If I wanted to play to a speaker my phone isn't connected to that would be great so it gets a couple stars. But it won't let me play any music on my phone while an AirPlay device is playing music. I just want both at the same time. Why is that so much to ask

Couldn’t get it to work as constantly referred me to a passcode for AppleTV which I don’t own. Trying to test this with airplay enabled Sonos play. Which it detects but won’t use. I’m not paying for the full version if it doesn’t work. I can’t be the first to experience this problem and I couldn’t find any solution online.

Worked well with Apple TV prior to Apple changes. Can no longer use. Developer should update so that devices with application that have been passcode enabled by Apple TV and it would still work. Seems an easy fix. Back to five when that changes.

Noch nicht einmal wdr2 funktioniert. Innerhalb von 3Wochen habe ich deshalb den support 4x kontaktiert; KEINE Antwort. Ein Stern ist dafür schon zu viel.

Die App hat gute Ansätze und macht ein streamen auch auf mehrere Airplaygeräte gleichzeitig möglich. Das Versprechen wird gehalten.
Leider läßt sich Musik, die aus Apple Musik geladen wurde, nicht abspielen. Und dies, obwohl die Streams auf dem Gerät geladen sind!
Und dafür muss man € 11 zahlen!?
Das ist üble Abzocke und ich werde mich an den Apple Support wenden.
Ich würde dafür max. einen halben Stern geben, ist leider nicht möglich.

This app allows you to do what Apple won't (at least from iPhone/iPad), and that is play music through more than one AirPlay device at a time. Not the cheapest but a small price to pay when you've spent hundreds of pounds on multi-room wifi speaker systems only to then find out that Apple have essentially rendered them useless. Not the most intuitive UI but it gets the job done and solves an expensive problem.
Edit - I meant to put this review against the full version. Oops!!

Отличное приложение, задумка и реализация заслуживают уважения, но в качестве плеера треков из apple music не работает, точнее работает только с купленными через itunes треками, а то что скачал через подписку apple music не воспроизводит. Вероятно эти треки защищены от воспроизведения через сторонние приложения.

als ich meine alten Aktivboxen mittels apple airport wieder einsetzen konnte.
Hatte mittlerweile 3 paar LS mit 3x airport aber konnte nie schnell mal eben alle gleichzeitig laufen lassen:-((
Nur am imac funkt diese Steuerung, ist aber ist viel zu umständlich.
Mit dem Whaale App geht es nun sehr schnell und bequem direkt und es laeuft perfekt auf iphone und ipad.
Viele Einstellmöglichkeiten, gute updates und auch ein sehr guter support :-)) 5 Sterne!

Great app!!! It works great and it has some nice features. Besides de multi speakers funcionality, which is available only on Itunes on PC/Mac, I also liked the fact you can select multiple sources at same time and play it in different speakers. For Deezer subscribers it works perfectly. But the most advanced feature is that can work completely on background, I tested with two speakers with different sources and  could still use other applications on my Ipad 2 including Youtube and there were  no issues with performance. The interface is not 100% intuitive but after playing it for a couple of days you get used to it.

Super App zum Musik hören vom iPad, Radio und UPNP. Frau und Kind hatten sich am Anfang beschwert, dass ich die Wohnung in Raumschiff Enterprise verwandle. Mittlerweile nutzen wir es alle.

Sehr praktisch. Funktioniert problemlos!  

(Probleme gab es nur mit Airplay und WLan. Zu viel 2,4 GHz Netze stören die Verbindung. Da hilft 5 GHz WLan oder Kabelanbindung.)

Loved this app and bought the full version. Music streaming via airplay to four rooms from an ipad?  Brilliant!  No need to have a dedicated laptop or desktop running iTunes hogging power, running hot and taking up room.  I was going to buy a new laptop or even Mac mini for a dedicated music steamer (a lot of money for a music player) but one I can do all that with existing iOS devices. Saved me tons of cash, wow!
