It will literally be 10-15° off compared to every other forecast. Storms come in winter and it says “flurries possible” and we get a foot yet I get several alerts a day for “quick snow squalls” that amount to nothing. As for the app, it’s ok and would be better if the weather map was useful. They may understand it but way to complicated for the average person. When I check the app and after I see the weather details I always go to weather bug for better and easier to use weather map. Sorry guys but you and 10 both use the same map and other people that I have mentioned this concern agree with what I have just stated. It’s like I always watch Don Alhart for news, best around since mid 60’s but occasionally sports get hung up on pro sports and hardly talk about local stuff. Do you realize how many people check sports for their kids and grandkids for some highlights or at least the scores. But it’s always check the app for Buffalo updates. When Don retires you are going to lose a lot of viewers. I hope not but!!! Thank you ### 2/5 — A persistent bug *2022-03-12, version 5.4.946* On the whole, the app is decent. However, there is a persistent bug that has remained after numerous upgrades. There is no mechanism to leave feedback or bug reports in the app, forcing me to have to make the report here. On the dedicated radar pane, there are numerous options to customize your view. (Yay). You can pick out any combination of alerts, overlays, and such. On the alerts option, the app constantly defaults to them all being “on”, even if I tick them all off. I close the app and relaunch, and all the alerts are back. If I ticked them off at last usage, they should remain off so that I can just see the radar itself. Lastly, the app does not remain stable in the background. If you leave the app (or even just pull down the iOS notification pane) the app self-reboots from the beginning. That adds about 5 to 6 seconds of boot time for the app on my iphone 13. ### 3/5 — Used to be good, not anymore! *2020-09-13, version 5.0.902* This app has become filled with commercial-filled crap videos and inaccurate weather forecasts and radar. What happened? Did the radar map break? I’m not talking about wrong prediction, the weather is wrong within itself. For example, the “daily view” shows a high of 60, low of 40. If you expand that, it says a high near 68... ok. Don't update. *2019-06-25, version 4.8.900* 6/25/19. Update now has terrible map views. Dark and Light views are the cheap map version that was used years ago by many websites, even before apps were created. Satellite view is ridiculously hard to read and the zoom is so inconsistant and frustrating that I nearly threw my ipod against the wall! The zooming in or out movement is either delayed, so you do it again and end up at some level of zoom that isn't at all what you want, or it zooms so fast that once again you end up where you don't want to be. To add insult to injured eyeballs, the map now uses the wrong colors for Wx alerts. Example: Severe Thunderstorm Watch boxes are now red, just like the Tornado Watch boxes are most everywhere else. All Wx apps created by Sinclair Broadcasting, which does this one, are like this. I had previously purposely gotten their Wx apps because their maps were the best. I wish now that I had never updated. If they'd shown an accurate pic on App Store page (which shows the old map version, hence false advertising), I'd never have done it. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t format correctly on ipad *2018-06-30, version 4.6.1700* This app always opens sideways (like in iphone mode) on an ipad in landscape mode. Completely useless on an ipad. I can’t read sideways... ### 1/5 — Nice app horrible weather forecast *2016-03-13, version 4.2.100* This app is terrible the weather reports are so false it is crazy. The forecast will that tell you there is 0% chance of raining, while you're standing in the rain or that the low temperature for the day is going to be 46, but then you look at the hourly observations it reports 30° temps for the early morning hours. Please go back to a more recognizable screen icon. They recently changed from their large 13 on a blue icon, to tiny little text lost on a field of blue. It used to be really easy when I wake up (literally bleary eyed) in the morning to grab my phone, and pull up the days weather. But now among all the blue icons on my screen it’s hard to pick out. Hey, if you’re 18 I’m sure it’s fine, but not all of us are as young as we used to be, and neither are our eyes. Likewise maybe you can afford some big phone with a huge screen but not everyone can either. I just really think it’s silly too in any case to make an icon less distinguishable like with tiny text, and MORE nondescript! -when the whole point of an icon is to say -here I am!
