But then it was taken away and locked behind a subscription. I was enraged, furious if you will. Recently I have noticed… CRAYOLA IS FREE! This app is healing! Thank you very much for making the one thing I used it for, and actually paid a one time payment for a long time ago, available free again! Also the web app doesn’t work you should probably look into that… Also please bring back the ability to see more similar colors and how similar (in %) they are. Thanks again! ### 4/5 — Good for colorblind, okay for normal people *2025-02-18* I am red-green colorblind and have struggled determining colors even after getting CVD lenses for my glasses. This app is a great help for me when no one with normal vision is around, however the colors are more of a ballpark and some patterns can confuse it as it averages colors from a square. This is especially bad with TV or computer screens. It also uses odd words for colors like “tomato” and “burnt sienna” very often. All in all it’s useful even if it has its flaws. **Developer response:** Thanks for the review. Give the default "What color" library a try for more common color names ### 4/5 — Good enough for most people *2024-09-01* I’m not a color expert and don’t need super accurate hues and such. If I was I wouldn’t be using a free app on my phone anyway. So just know that this will get you what you need and it’s an app not a professional tool. Works great. Will be great app when reliable! ### 2/5 — Colors are inaccurate. *2022-10-05, version 3.4.0* Here are some mistakes: Pure red is called “Deep orange”, pure green is called “Light green”, and pure blue is called “Indigo”. What should be Orange is called Amber, what should be spring green is called Teal, real teal that leans slightly towards blue is called Cyan, magenta is called Purple, tan is called orange, some shades of gray (around #E8E8E8) are called brown, dark yellow is called brown, lime, or light green, maroon is called pink or brown, dark purple is called brown, light cyan is called teal, very light cyan is called light blue, different shades of dark amber are sometimes called red or lime, salmon is called deep orange, in other words many of the colors are named inaccurately. The only two of the 6 main computer monitor colors (red yellow green cyan blue magenta) that says the right thing are Yellow and Cyan.) ### 4/5 — Worth it. *2022-08-16, version 3.4.0* Not spot on but in the same gamut. Used it to get color samples at big box stores. ### 3/5 — Very nice but it stopped working *2022-05-14, version 3.4.0* This is a very nice app..at first I was using this for design project (personal) as a good way to match colours to edit and erase parts of pictures and then using the complimentary colour and lighter and darker suggestions to backgrounds or highlights in some but it’s stopped working it won’t load up any information about the colour anymore :( ### 5/5 — This is the app you are looking for ! *2021-10-13, version 3.4.0* Point the camera at something and it finds you the name of the colour and the RGB values and hex values and so forth but presents the information in a pleasing way which is very important to most people out there. I have used the app a lot and so far the colour names come out quite well but this depends on the lighting a little bit obliviously as the tone can be affected by colours in the light a little bit. But I would recommend this app to everyone as it does what you want it to do. ### 5/5 — Underrated *2021-02-21, version 3.3.1* This app is Underrated! This app gives you variety of the color that you are looking for, most times it’ll give you the exact color your looking for. With the Basic, NTC, Behr and other scenarios it’ll show you different colors as well! I live for it! Here’s a suggestion. *2023-07-28* This app is great, but I have an idea that would make it the best app for finding the color of something. That idea is adding a Lego color library. A Lego color library would be extremely great, because imagine the possibilities! And imagine the possibilities I did.
