## What is What Did They Mean??

A little context can change the meaning of a whole conversation.

What Did They Mean? helps you practise everyday American English through short, fictional conversations. Explore what a phrase can mean in context, consider more than one reasonable interpretation, and choose a natural, respectful response.

LEARN AT YOUR OWN PACE
• Explore 68 lessons across work, friends, and messages.
• Practise 59 phrases and 9 vocabulary items.
• Read English dialogue with Simplified Chinese, Thai, or Spanish support.
• Listen with system text-to-speech, replay individual lines, or choose slower speech.
• Compare explanations for your choices and see a possible conversation continuation.

MAKE ROOM FOR RECALL
Save phrases, revisit completed lessons, and practise in a new situation. Review dates follow your local calendar, with no countdown or pressure to keep a streak.

A QUIET, PRIVATE LEARNING SPACE
Core lessons work offline. No account or subscriptions. Progress and preferences stay on your device. Online ads support the app: banners on Home and Explore, plus occasional ads after completed lessons. Google AdMob processes advertising and diagnostic data as explained in the privacy policy. Lessons remain available without an internet connection. If you spot a mistranslation, prepare a report and choose where to send it using the iPhone share sheet.

Designed for adult learners who want to understand context, tone, and everyday usage. Conversations are fictional examples; the app does not predict what a real person is thinking. Audio is optional, and all lessons can be read.
