## Most critical reviews (9 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2024-06-25*

I loaded a very detailed photo and the app made no attempt to identify. It just showed a few pictures of ticks looking nothing like my photo and said if it is not one of these, it’s not likely to cause disease. Also it locks up and the only thing you can do is force close the app then clear it from the background. I wish I had read the reviews first.

### 1/5 — It freezes.

*2021-07-20*

First attempt: I chose a photo of a tick already identified by a lab. It asked me to select photos of ticks from the main types that best matched. I don’t need an app for that! I tried to explore what else the app would offer but it froze and I had to restart my iPhone. Reopened the app and this time it froze at the first screen. Definitely $2 wasted…

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work.

*2021-07-12*

Was able to open the app and submit photo. It gives multiple suggestions none of which look like my tick. When trying to select app does not respond. After uploading photo none of the buttons on the app respond. Freezes up entirely. Worthless. Do not download. Really regretting that they got my two bucks.

### 1/5 — Not useful at all

*2021-06-21*

Why did I send pictures? You are not telling me anything.

### 1/5 — buggy

*2020-06-06*

Laggy and slow. Doesn’t do what it’s uploaded to do.

### 1/5 — Waste of $$

*2020-05-15*

This app does nothing more than a simple internet search. It doesn’t keep the photos separate from my full photo stream so trying to look back later won’t be made simpler.

### 4/5 — A good start

*2019-04-20*

This app helps people identify and learn about ticks which now cause at least 12 major diseases in the US. I particularly like the ability to photograph and keep track of ticks the app user removes from him/herself with date & location. As a physician who deals with patients who have been bitten I always recommend saving the organism on a piece of paper under clear tape with date & location. The facts presented are reasonably accurate but the writing style is rather “pop” or magazine style and there are no references listed for app users to find additional info. Overall this is a good start with a noble intent. I will look forward to future improvements.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2018-10-01*

As a pediatric nurse I am always asked to identify ticks. Thank you for making it easier and quick. The app really works well.

### 5/5 — What’s my tick

*2018-08-29*

That app is excellent and complete. It includes educational information that is useful. It also provides a photo with a description as well as a method of taking an easy photo of the tick you need identified. The app includes a process of safely removing a tick. The app is easy to use as well.
