Essentially means the app is not usable from my perspective. I messaged the developers about it, but heard nothing back ### 3/5 — It’s a beautiful luxury, with flaws *2026-01-30, version 1.2* Beggars can’t be choosers. Being able to watch any BBC programming for free in the US without VPNs and some jiggery pokery is amazing. In a perfect world I wish all the series were current; for instance, QI in the comedy section always features the same few episodes from 15 years ago. Sometimes shows I love only have episode 1. And some of the best current shows on the BBC iPlayer aren’t on this app. That said, it’s something I appreciate every day and hope I never lose it. ### 2/5 — Accessibility is a concern *2024-06-21, version 1.2* I like what this app provides, nevertheless I take issue with how you access the different BBC networks… In order to access BBC four live, you have to click on BBC 1 and then there’s an option for BBC 4… Then you click on that and it lists different things from BBC 4, including BBC 4 live… If you just click on BBC 4, it takes you to every thing except for BBC 4 live… And though I say that it takes you to everything, it doesn’t provide a listing of the different BBC networks… Only by clicking on BBC 1 do you get all that… ### 3/5 — Casting *2024-06-18, version 1.2* Would be better if we could cast to tv ! ### 5/5 — Danke für das Update 🌻 *2024-03-25, version 1.2* Lange ist nichts passiert und dann das! I’ve been in Contact with support but they have no answer - and now no response to my emails at all. Disappointing. ### 4/5 — Updated review *2024-01-06, version 1.1* *Update* I’ve noticed this has worked better on my iPhone since I’ve upgraded my internet speed, and I can watch on Apple TV by using AirPlay. Not so much on my iPad, but the device is very old. For watching live and timely content, I think it’s worth the one-time fee. If you want past episodes, you’ll have to find another source. *Old review*Not reliable for live tv. So don’t count on using this for a watch party. I watched Picture Slam on BBC One just fine, but then the “Live” section of the app just completely stopped working right before Strictly came on. Also, there is a very limited catalog of recorded shows. Now the Whats Playing app is not an upgrade. It rarely works and tech support says to wait until not as many people are using it. Well I have been waiting for the buffering to stop for several days, this time. Also not enough of current shows are shown. The first episode may be shown, but it’s rare that subsequent episodes will be. Much more variety/diversity and still great quality. I use screen mirroring from my iPhone and iPad to watch on my main TV and the picture is superb. No stuttering or buffering.
