Split your journey by time or distance and find the perfect place to meet or stop halfway using the Whatshalfway app.

Simply enter your two addresses and select the type of venue you're looking for and Whatshalfway will do the rest.
View the results on the map or from the list of venues and easily let your friends know where to meet by quickly sharing the venue details & location.

For long trips, break up the journey even more by adding more stops and splitting the journey up in to smaller sections - we'll find you places to stay, eat or things to do for each stop!

In essence, the concept behind this is sound and potentially useful. However, the selection of places to eat leaves a lot to be desired and needs a better filter system. It might suit some people to find where the nearest McDonalds, Greggs or fish & chip shop is but if I want to meet someone for a half-decent lunch it doesn’t allow me to filter by price or type of restaurant (e.g. Italian, French, Indian, etc).  For me the app has limited usage, therefore I’ve deleted.

Tidy app, but only shows a single equidistant point on a single route rather displaying a line of equidistance which would be a more useful function to vary meeting locations when meeting the same friends repeatedly.

We often meet various friends who live some distance from our home. 
The Whatshalfway app has helped us identify the spot which is equidistant between us. After which we are able to identify pubs, restaurants and hotels to facilitate our meeting. Extremely helpful.

The option to find a halfway point based on time driven is hidden behind a pay wall. If that is what you need out of the app then this app is worthless.

Not very functional just makes up fake distances it said one place was 32mins away and 31miles away but on Google Maps it’s over an hour

**Developer response:** Routes are calculated without factoring traffic so that’s probably why you’re seeing a difference in estimated travel time, there is no fake data
