## What is Whatsit?

Whatsit translates the world in front of you. Not as a wall of text, but as the same photo with the words replaced.

Point the camera at a menu, an ingredients label, a train ticket, a medicine box. A few seconds later you're looking at the identical photo in your language: same layout, same logos, same packaging, just readable.

WHAT IT DOES
• Translates text in place, preserving the original design
• Finds and flags ingredient lists, allergen statements, dosages, and warnings line by line, so you can check them against the original
• Names the product and tells you what it is
• Reads translations aloud
• Keeps your scans on your phone, searchable

BUILT FOR ONE HAND
• Opens straight to the camera
• Bind it to the Action Button, add the Lock Screen widget, or the Control Center control, and it is one press from anywhere
• Hold the photo to peek at the original

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Photos are processed and returned, never stored on our servers, unless you choose to report a translation
• No account. Your subscription is your identity.

LANGUAGES
Translate into English, Chinese (Simplified), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. The source language is detected automatically.

Translations are generated by AI and can be wrong or incomplete. Never rely on them alone for allergens, medication, or safety. Check the original, which is one tap away.

Three scans are free. After that, a one-week travel pass or an annual plan with a 3-day free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed in your App Store account settings.

• A progress bar shows your photo going up and the translation coming down, so you can see that it is moving.
• Translations are about a quarter smaller to download, and a slow connection is given time to finish instead of timing out.
• If a scan is taking too long, a cancel button appears so you can retake the photo.
