## What is WhatStats?

WhatStats is an application that allows you to see statistics of your WhatsApp Chats. Track your messages, emoji usage, and much more!

To generate statistics you simply have to export your chat from WhatsApp and send it to WhatStats. After that WhatStats will generate statistics.

WhatStats will generate statistics locally on your device and will not share it with other services.

WhatStats will show you:
• Total messages and total participants per Chat (since the group was created)
• Messages per participant
• Percentage of messages of each participant
• Date of the first message
• Bar/Line Chart for messages by Day, Week, and Month to see when a specific participant was most active.

To import chats:
1. Open WhatsApp and select a chat
2. In the Menu click export chat
3. Select "without Media"
4. When the chat is finished exporting select more in the ShareSheet
5. Click WhatStats
6. Press yes to add the chat to WhatStats

I have the last update( iOS 26 ) on my iphone and when i run a stat.. y need to unistall the app and reinstal again :/ if i need to run another stat cuz after one analysis the app doesnt open any more, its so frustrating and i bought the suscription. It has a glitch :/

Ele diz que você pode ter até dois chats por vez mas só consegue um e mesmo que você apague aquele, ele não deixa você analisar outro. Sempre que quero contar as mensagens preciso apagar o app e reinstalar!!

I was wanting an app to check the statistics of one of my WhatsApp chats. It was easy to export the chat from WhatsApp into this app, and the visuals look really good. It’s worth the upgrade to be able to tap and see more specific details about times, etc. I’m very happy with this app.

App übersieht Nachrichten, dadurch fehlerhafte Auswertung und nicht zu gebrauchen.

Edit auf die Reaktion des Entwicklers:
Ich habe einen Chat mit ca. 50 Usern und 2200 Nachrichten ausgewertet. Dabei gab es einzelne User die wenige Nachrichten (3-5 Stück, sowohl Bilder als auch Text) geschrieben haben, aber diese Nachrichten nicht mitgezählt wurden. Andere User mit ähnlich wenigen Nachrichten wurden ausgewertet.

Zu meiner „scharfen“ Kritik: es ist natürlich enttäuschend wenn man sich auf die Funktion verlässt und dann durch mehr oder minder zufällig bemerkt, dass das angezeigte Ergebnis fehlerhaft ist.
Vielleicht wird es ja mit dem Update besser, dann korrigiere ich meine Bewertung auch gerne ;-)

Ein Verbesserungsvorschlag den ich sonst noch hätte: Schreibt ein User keine Nachrichten wird er in der Statistik nicht aufgeführt. Es wäre super wenn er dennoch aufgeführt wird, um Karteileichen in Gruppen zu erkennen. Dafür habe ich die App nämlich eigentlich gekauft :-)

Danke für die ausführliche Antwort, dass hilft mir sehr!!
Ja du hast recht, aktuell zähle ich Nutzer erst dazu wenn sie mindestens 3 Nachrichten gesendet haben. Das werde ich im nächsten Update anpassen, dass sie schon mit einer Nachricht mitgezählt werden. Wenn ein Nutzer keine Nachricht schreibt ist es leider sehr schwer diesen rauszu-filtern. (Whatsapp fügt in diesem Fall keinen":" an den ende des Namens an, was dies sehr schwer macht und da der Chat in jeder Sprache anders exportiert wird, müsste ich das alles einzeln filtern, was mir aktuell nicht möglich ist.) Ich werde trotzdem sehen was sich da machen lässt!

Hello Dev, can you please somehow include or add voice messages also in the calculated total messages .

I have found , voice messages are not counted in the total Messages , they exclude that .
The group I am in , mostly involves voice messages .
So in the end I am not able to get the exact data I need .

I find the app easy to use and that it presents the info in a nice readable format.

Unfortunately I’m not sure about the accuracy. In one chat it missed a whole month of chat data.

It would also be nice to highlight top words used per person.
