Each drummer recorded a special set of beats for Wheelhouse, and played those beats all the way from stone-cold slow to smoking fast. Wheelhouse stitches these together so you can play any tempo in between.

As well as this huge range of tempos, most beats have an option of 1, 2, 4, or 8 measure phrases or loops. We've worked hard to make each one of these make musical sense.

Doesn’t seem to have sound when used with my Mac Studio M1 running Sequoia. Would love to just bump this thru the studio speakers rather than a phone that needs to be bluetoothed. Also, I’m not really into the subscription model for a metronome tool as the project already feels a little abandoned.

Amazing beats to practice with, with great sounding real drums, and real pocket feels from established groove masters. 
It’s a different practice tool than the metronome. With this app you’re immediately inspired, you can practice your placement, deepen your own pocket and ability to create a rhythmic chemistry with a real drummer, just as if you were in the same room. 
This is very sadly rarely the case, with the vast majority of drum samples out there.

It’s very well designed, and there’s an almost magical tempo flexibility,
that can change the tempo of à loop drastically, without changing the sound or the nature of the groove.

Subscription sucks but it is worth the expense if you’re ever interested in becoming a more musical player.

I’d be delighted to see new version, with new grooves, and the possibility for the grooves to go silent for a set number of bars (the ultimate inner-clock magical exercise).

At the end of the day, 
I’m grateful for the existence of this app. It’s awesome and Super helpful.

This app is an absolutely killer practice tool. The one thing that would make it a lot more user friendly is an in-app volume control.

Wheelhouse is a fantastic tool for improving your sense of time, working out new ideas, or just enjoying having a groove at home when a drummer isn't available. Strongly reocmmend it to ANY instrumentalist or musician who is tired of metronomes and seeking the sound of a living soul hitting the drums and keeping time. You'll spend hours with this!

Fantastic sounding and feeling drum grooves by some monster players ! So fun.

However, if your screen is set to lock after a certain amount of time, (which of course preserves phone battery life) it messes with the groove/time when the screen locks. I have to set my screen lock to “never” when using the app which is kinda inconvenient. Is this something you guys can address ?

Excellent drummers, great array of beats, tempo adjustment, love it. There is a subscribe option but I’m not sure what additional beats I’d get with it. 

*update: this is subscription based software. Hard pass for me. I’d rather pay outright to be able to play the beats whenever and wherever, for as long as I want. I am not willing to participate in yet another subscription scheme.

When I saw this being announced, I was instantly excited. All of the drummers involved have shaped my playing and now I get to have their feel at a specific tempo. Highly recommend you download this. Their groove is unmatched, it will make you a better player no matter what instrument you play.
