Seems to have an issue adding location. Most of the time when trying to add a new event, it says the location is missing and is therefore unsuccessful.

**Developer response:** Hi. Sorry, there was an issue in that version causing the problem. This was fixed in version 3.0.

i cannot get the app to open up on my apple watch 4. it will not show
up on the complication display also.

• Fixes a crash when trying to get weather. The API I use to get a location changed its interface without letting me know. Sorry about that.

### 7.0.1 — 2026-01-23

• If you've enabled Differentiate Without Colour and you're showing gradients in widgets, you'll now see the countdown/up arrow instead of the previous shaded bar. This looks much better.

Bugfixes:
• If the setting to select archived events in widgets was disabled, and you archived an event that was being displayed in a widget, the widget lost its link to the event. Fixed.
• Sometimes, tapping a complication would show the event in the Watch app but then close the event and say it couldn't be found. Fixed.

• Updated to support iOS 26 and the iPhone 17 series.
• Works with iPadOS 26's new windowing systems.
• Liquid Glass has been tastefully adopted across the app, and every part has been re-worked so accessibility settings such as Button Shapes/Show Borders and Bold Text are taken into account.
• There's a new toolbar at the top of the screen, and it looks gorgeous!

• If you have a large number of archived events wouldn't it be handy to hide them? Yes, so now you can! Just tap on the "Archived" bar in the events list. Tap again to show them.
  - This preference is stored and survives across launches of the app.
  - If your cover event is in the collapsed archived section, the bar will take on a different colour to give you a visual clue as to where it is.

• When an event is shown full-screen, long-pressing the notes field used to show a darker background so you could read your notes a little better, but it was a bit uncomfortable when scrolling through a long note. Now, just tap once and the background will be toggled on or off. As above, this preference is saved.

• The toolbar from previous versions now always floats over content at the bottom of the events list. It used to be stuck permanently below the cover event at the top, and would disappear when you scrolled, so this is much more useful.

• In the Event Editor there's a new button on the map to show it full-screen, giving you more room to pinpoint a location, or just see where the location has been set.
• If you use the Emoji Generator to create a fun background, there's now some controls to zoom the emojis in and out. Fun!

- Special Days:
 • The bar for Special Days is optional, and remains at the top of the events list on both the iPhone and iPad.
 • It also appears at the bottom of the screen if you have no events and it's a special day.
 • Tapping to add an event for a special day always added it for the date of the event next year, even if it was different, like Easter Sunday, but the name would be this year's name, e,g, "Easter Sunday 2025" instead of "Easter Sunday 2026".
  - If the special day isn't happening next year this will add the event with today's date, at noon.

- The Watch & Widgets:
 • Added a "Your cover event" complication for the Watch and as a small and medium widget for your iPhone, iPad and Mac, so you can always show your current cover event rather than having to edit complications and widgets when you change it.
 • Circular complications on the Watch, and Lock Screen widgets on the iPhone and iPad now show hours or minutes remaining if there's space. For example, if there's 6d 5h on the countdown they would show "6d", but they now show the "5h" too.
 • There's a new setting for Widgets:
   - Show just the red/green gradient; show just the image (new); show both.
   - The gradients now respect the "Differentiate Without Colour" accessibilty option. The red gradient becomes dark grey for a past event, and the green gradient becomes light grey for a future event.
   - If you're showing images & gradients in widgets, the DWC gradient doesn't look so obvious, so you'll see a bar down the side on the medium widget, a bar across the top for the small widget, and on the large widget the countdown timer has an appropriately-coloured background.

- Bugfixes:
 • It wasn't possible to save an image to a new event on iOS/iPadOS 26.
 • On iPad, opening Search from the menu in the toolbar didn't open the Events List, so the search never appeared.
 • Special days in October 2025 & 2026 - in French - all got translated to "Halloween". Didn't mean to scare you!
 • The large widget showed preview data when it had fewer than four events. It should've shown a little bit of text suggesting you add more events.
 • It wasn't possible to tap to set manual coordinates in the event editor's map in iOS 26.
 • No more random notifications for deleted events!
 • LOTS of internal improvements and minor fixes.

### 6.5.2 — 2025-01-07

- New "Fetch weather for archived events" setting:
 • Off by default, it reduces the number of automatic requests made to the weather service. So, if the weather hasn't been updated in a while and the app updates it, it simply doesn't request weather for archived event locations.
 • It only affects the events list, meaning you can't refresh weather for archived events in the list but you can still view weather if it's present, such as when you have an archived event and a non-archived event that use the same location, the archived event will still show the weather (because hiding it when it already exists, is just mean).
 • The event editor is unaffected so you can still enable/disable weather when you create or edit an event; and you'll still see weather in the cover view and event list header.
- Updated complications and Lock Screen widgets to show a nicer timer when the screen is dimmed.
- Minor UI adjustments in the weather and settings screens.
- Added some extra gradient images to the included images.

Bugfixes:
- Some of you couldn't dismiss the events list on the iPad. Sorry about that.
- If there were zero days to an event, the counter in the list didn't show "0d".

Highlights from version 6.5:
- Vastly more accurate date calculations, so your widgets should now show the correct countdown timers.
- Events no longer require a location.
- You can create backgrounds made of emoji!
- A new large widget showing the top four events in your list.
- New options in the settings screen.

Events:
- Events no longer require a location:
 • With no location you can't get weather, and events can't be seen in the map view.
 • Content in widgets and Watch complications expands to fill the extra space.
- You can tap the weather icon of an event in the list to see the weather screen.
- New categories: Fishing Trip, Fitness, Flight, Golfing, Run, Toys, and Walk.

Emoji backgrounds!
- Tap to add or change your image, then choose the new emoji option at the bottom.
- Enter up to 7 emoji and watch as they magically appear on the screen. You can also just enter text, but that's boring.
- Choose a nice background colour to complement your emoji.

Widgets:
- Added a large widget that shows the four events at the top of your events list, along with their countdown timers.
- Reduced the size of widget images. Existing events will be updated over time when you launch the app, but you can do so manually by changing an event's image.

Settings:
- Events List:
 • Event counter style: Lets you choose how the days remaining are displayed in the events list in both the app and on the Watch.
 • Show toolbar: Shows a small toolbar at the top of the list with buttons to sort, show the map view (if space allows), show the cover view, and add a new event.
 • Show bar for special days: If today's date is a known set of special dates this shows that day's information and a button to add the event to your list. For example, if today is 25th December you'll see some Christmas-themed emojis and can create a new Christmas event for next year. Handy, and can easily be turned off if you aren't interested.
 • When creating an event for a special day the emoji generator will automagically generate an image with those emojis. You don't have to use the image; you can use one of your own images, as normal.
 • These are worldwide or international events, not things like "National Cheese Day" in the UK; but if you want National Cheese Day or similar, let me know!
- Widgets:
 • Show archived events in widget selection: Off by default. Archived events won't be available for widgets, reducing the number of events in the list. An existing widget for an archived event will work as normal, you just can't select it again.

Watch App:
- When viewing an event on the Watch you can tap the Notes field to cycle through some different font sizes, in case you find the one picked is too small.
- The new settings from the main app are also in the Watch App's settings.
- Reduced the amount of data sent to the Watch to only that which is strictly necessary.

Weather:
- I spent a week in 43ºC summer sun in Las Vegas, and - trust me - there was no way you should see blue in the temperature colour guage!
- View changes you make here are now stored, so if you tap to change visibility from metres to km, the next time you view the weather screen for any event it'll start off in km. Also applies to temperature, wind, and pressure.
- The Sunrise/Sunset block will now show the sunrise time prominently when the current time is closer to sunrise, and the sunset time when it's closer to sunset.

Bugfixes:
- If you had multiple events with the same name and one of them was the cover event, they would all show the green bar by the side in the events list.
- When you searched and found no events, the 'no results' screen didn't respect your device's Dark Mode setting.
- Deleting some events didn't remove their notification, so you might've received a notification for a deleted event.
- Changing some settings in the main app that affected the Watch didn't always send those changes to the Watch.
- Corrected a typo - "Longtitude", indeed.
- Added a missing French translation.
