The story for me was slow, dull and depressing. However, I can appreciate the challenge of making 52 cutscenes to fit the game's theme. The artwork is beautiful and the game's theme is well thought out. Someone out there truly enjoys a mindless, plotless, challenge-free, point & drag style of time waster. Unfortunately, i am not that person. I forced myself to play for a full ten minutes, in hopes that i was dragging myself through some form of prelude. Unfortunately, i don’t believe that was the case. They feel so long and you can’t skip them. I timed a few and they are about 45 sec to 2 minutes. It’s like being forced to watch an advertisement. Too bad, the game is ok. Par for the course for arcade but engaging enough when there’s nothing better to do. The controls are annoying imprecise but I can live with that. There’s some story that you’re forced to sit through but honestly I’ve never felt the need unmute my phone so I don’t even know if there’s talking or just implied talking. It doesn’t strike me as captivating art. The puzzles take maybe a quarter of my attention to solve so, when I’m bored enough to actually slog thru this game, I would prefer to also be able to listen to a podcast or a book. Not so. The game dominates the sound output even with the phone in silent mode and the slides for all sounds pushed to zero. How conceited do you have to be as a dev to think that your boring little game with easy puzzles is so engaging that it needs someone’s full attention? Those games do exist. Almost never on phones. Generally, a puzzler is something to waste some time with. If I want to play something that requires full-brain attention, I won’t do so on a tiny screen. Apparently it doesn’t like if you try to listen to a podcast while playing. After getting pretty far in the game, it froze so I closed it. When I reopened the game it had started me all the way from the beginning. ### 2/5 — Forced Immersion *2024-09-04, version 1.5* The game needs an option to allow this to play in a window, comma, even though it actually only plays in a window it forces in a immersed environment, blocking all other applications from being visible at the same time. Непонятно зачем - это только раздражает игроков. Иногда при запуске игра начинается с первого уровня - нужно выгрузить и запустить заново, иногда несколько раз. Но механизм этой головоломки мне очень зашел - реально что-то новое и необычное. Ближе к концу уровни непростые, так что в конце играть очень интересно. Несмотря на ненужные раздражающие сценки между уровнями - все равно пять звезд, ибо головоломка шикарная! Die Rätsel werden dabei immer schwieriger. Es gibt allerdings keinerlei Druck: kein Zeit- oder Zuglimit, keine Möglichkeit, zu sterben und jederzeit verfügbare Hilfestellungen (na ja, fast - ein bisschen selbst nachdenken muss man schon). Einzige Kritikpunkte: Die anfangs undefinierte Anzahl an Kapiteln macht es schwer, die Dauer des Spiels einzuschätzen; und wenn man sich vertippt, kann es vorkommen, dass man Teile der Aufgabe wiederholen muss, weil die Hauptfigur, die man neben den Karten steuert, nur schwer aufgehalten werden kann, wenn sie einmal in Bewegung gesetzt wurde. Zwischen den Rätseln wird die Lebensgeschichte der Hauptfigur erzählt. Anfangs ist diese sehr spannend, später fragt man sich jedoch, wohin sie gehen soll, da es scheinbar keinen roten Faden gibt. Besonders interessant ist die Sprache, in der erzählt wird: Sowohl Laute als auch Schrift sind eigens erdacht, um die Geschichte universell zu gestalten. Grafisch sowie künstlerisch und spieltechnisch ein sehr schönes Spiel mit angemessener Spieldauer.
