The only gripe I have is that you cannot manually drop crumbs (or correct them). Sometimes the driving can be a bit different to locations been, in a roundabout way, but overall it was ok to look back and see the places you have been. Not very impressed at a monthly subscription now. I contacted the developer a couple of times with some issues which still to this day remain unresolved even though I was told that the issues would be fixed “in the next update” that was 3 years ago - and now you want to start charging me monthly after April? - No thank you. I bought the premium version which was a once off fee, it is now a monthly fee but I get a few more months as a premium user, which would be fine if I could restore my purchase without the app crashing. I can’t fault for the developer for wanting to try a different business model for new users but revoking the lifetime premium license for the previous purchasers amounts to stealing. I would have never purchased or tried this app if it was a subscription and while reviewing my history today I’m notified that in 3 months my previously purchased feature is to be terminated. For potential customers do yourself a favor and find another app/developer that won’t take away your previously purchased content at their convenience. ### 1/5 — SNEAKY TACTICS. Don’t buy. *2021-01-01, version 4.40* I PAID for this a couple of months ago to see data from further back than the free version gives me. Now, as of 1/1/2021, you make it a subscription version so I can no longer see data further back than 3 weeks. I PAID FOR THIS, YOU SHOULDN’T DO THAT !. Attempting to “restore premium version” from the settings results in the app crashing. How convenient ! Moral of the story - DON’T UPDATE THE APP. And why a subscription when the location data is held locally on the users own phone?. It’s not as if you’re having to maintain a server with user location data, because that data doesn’t even reach you due to privacy laws. So, will you refund my purchase after now being told I can no longer use it under the terms I originally signed up for ?. I doubt it. Complaint lodged to Apple. ### 4/5 — Perfect for Logging Work Day *2020-09-30, version 4.21* Tends to show the location as the most popular nearby location, usually next door or over the road instead of where I actually am. But still incredibly useful. I can look back at the day and week to see exactly how long I spent at each client location and match it to where I know I’ve been on the map. It simple and uncomplicated. I also like the summary of how many km’s I’ve travelled at the end of the week. ### 1/5 — Was working on my SE *2020-08-21, version 4.21* But the inaccuracy since i first installed has become ridiculous. It doesn’t know when I’m biking, always thinks I’m in a car. Has had issues capturing short walks to the corner of the block. Minutes estimates are always shorter than the time actually taken. Deleted and reinstalled loosing all data because of no response from developer. Reinstall worked ok for 2 months but now just registers every day as ‘in car’ no times or locations. Surely that’s the one thing it needs to do, and it failed… big let down! ### 1/5 — When will lifetime purchases come back? *2024-11-24, version 5.0* Believe it or not, before there was a stupid subscription for this app, there was a one-time premium purchase model. They recently revoked those licenses and went to a subscription model, no longer supporting those who supported them early on. It crashes, or doesn’t load. When it does load, it does not actually have the location data that is its only purpose. This is a long-standing problem that has persisted across updates, and across iOS platforms. Before finally deleting it and leaving this review, I gave it ‘one last chance’. First, it told me my subscription had expired (I have an email from 2 days ago saying I have been billed my monthly fee). I reopened it and now it says it is ‘rebuilding the database’ - but is just frozen. I can’t waste any more time on this. It’s not absolutely perfect and occasionally misses a movement, but I’d say 98% of the time it tells the truth and keeps a record of it. It’s all passive too, so you don’t need to do a thing. If there’s any pitfall, it’s that you can’t manually add data. When ever I have had an issue, the response From the owners has been fast and helpful. I am a non paying subscriber but I will pay in the future. With COVID here to stay, it’s helpful for contact tracing and I think the owners of this product should highlight that fact and the general usefulness of the product. Biggest gripe is the updates come out very slow, so unfortunately it breaks with new iOS updates and may take months and months to work again.
