WHY WHERE TO WEE?
Over 1.5 million people search for "toilet near me" every month in the UK. We built this app because we've all been there, desperately searching for a loo in an unfamiliar area. Built by someone who understands the struggle. Made for everyone who needs it.

DATA SOURCES
Toilet location data is sourced from publicly available open datasets, including data published by UK local authorities and government bodies via https://www.data.gov.uk, the Toilet Map (https://www.toiletmap.org.uk/dataset) under the CC BY 4.0 licence, and OpenStreetMap (https://www.openstreetmap.org). Community-submitted toilets are moderated before being added. Contains data from the Toilet Map - CC BY 4.0.

DISCLAIMER
Where To Wee is an independent app developed by Blessing Fasina, an NHS healthcare support worker who sees the problem every day. Where To Wee is free, community-driven, and designed to give people the confidence to leave the house. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any UK government body, local authority, or council. Toilet information is provided for convenience and may not always reflect real-time availability. We recommend verifying details on arrival.

### 5/5 — Useful

*2026-06-14*

Very useful

### 5/5 — Super Helpful and Easy to Use

*2026-06-13*

Where to Wee has been a lifesaver when I'm out and about. The app makes it quick and easy to find nearby public toilets, and the information is clear and reliable. The interface is simple, fast, and user-friendly. It's one of those apps you don't realize you need until you have it! Highly recommended for travelers, families, and anyone on the go

### 3/5 — Nice concept - needs some tweaks

*2026-06-02*

The information given is misleading. A great app concept but perhaps the distances and time taken to get there need to be powered by maps - or a better algorithm.

For example: currently seems the distance is “as the crow flies” meaning app says 1.8km and 20 mins walk to nearest public loo. But in practice maps says 3km and 42mins walk. Not helpful when bursting for the loo.

### 5/5 — Great idea - especially for the disabled community

*2026-05-01*

Saw the developer Blessing Fasina on BBC South Today this evening and thought it was a brilliant idea. Useful for members of the public generally and particularly for the disabled community. It has all my local loos listed ready for when the need arises!

### 1.3.0 — 2026-05-15

A big update focused on trust, accessibility and helping you find the right loo faster.

NEW - Inclusive accessibility tags
We now flag Changing Places hoists, adult-changing benches, gender-neutral facilities and emergency pull-cords on every toilet detail page. Filter by the accessibility you actually need.

NEW - Trust signals you can rely on
Every loo now shows a verification badge:
• Community verified - confirmed by three or more users (or admin-verified)
• Recently confirmed - visited and confirmed in the last 30 days
Plus a 0-100 confidence score so you can tell at a glance how trusted a listing is.

NEW - Help us verify this loo
Untouched loos now show a friendly "Help us verify this loo" prompt with one-tap confirm, rate or report actions. Your input gives the next visitor a confidence score they can trust.

NEW - Loos to reconfirm
A new card on the About screen shows the loos you've previously confirmed that are now over 90 days old, so you can keep your favourite spots fresh.

NEW - Monthly reconfirmation reminders
Opt in from Notification Settings to get a gentle nudge when a loo you confirmed needs a fresh check. Easy to turn off any time.

NEW - RADAR Key guide
A full explainer of the National Key Scheme: who can buy one, where to get a genuine key (around £5), and how it unlocks 10,000+ accessible UK toilets. Tap any "RADAR Key Required" badge to learn more.

NEW - Toilet Tips
Practical guidance for finding free, accessible toilets across the UK, motorway services, train stations, shopping centres, libraries, hospitals and inclusive facilities.

NEW - Privacy controls
A new "Anonymous analytics" toggle on the About → Privacy card lets you opt out of usage analytics in one tap. We never collect names, emails or precise locations either way.

Faster, smoother
• Tapping anywhere around the "Toilets Nearby" header now opens the sheet (no more pixel-hunting the arrow)
• Better default sheet height on the map
• Faster detail-page loads (parallel data fetching)
• In-app review prompt at the right moment, so we don't pester you

Reliability & small fixes
• Notification settings now correctly reflects iOS provisional permissions
• Couldn't-save error after rating a loo fixed
• Various minor bug fixes and polish

Thanks for using Where To Wee. Every confirm, rate and report makes the next user's day a little less stressful. If you've got 30 seconds, a quick rating in the App Store really helps us keep the lights on.
