## What is Where Was I?

Where were you? Season 2, episode 4. Page 212. Minute 1:31 of the podcast. Lesson 14.

Where Was I? keeps your exact place in everything you're in the middle of — and one tap moves it forward when you've watched, read or listened a bit more.

YOUR EXACT PLACE, COUNTED RIGHT
• Shows: season, episode, even the minute you paused
• Books: page of total, with a progress bar
• Podcasts and audiobooks: episode or chapter, and the timestamp
• Courses: lesson 14 of 42
• Movies and videos: the minute you stopped
• Games and anything else: a checkpoint in your own words

FIND IT, AND THE COUNTS FILL IN
Search for a show and its seasons, episode counts and episode names come with it. Search for a book and you get the author and page count. Only what you type is sent, to look it up — no account, nothing about you.

ONE TAP TO THE NEXT ONE
Tap Next and it's episode 5 — or season 3, episode 1, when the season is over. Tap +10 and you're on page 222. Tapped by mistake? Undo.

REMEMBER WHAT WAS HAPPENING
Leave yourself a line — who, where, what was about to happen — so coming back after two weeks doesn't mean starting over.

BRING YOUR BOOKS, ASK SIRI
Import your Goodreads library export in a minute. Ask Siri "Where was I?" or move to the next episode hands-free.

UP NEXT AND YOUR SHELF
Queue what you'll start next. When you finish something, rate it and put it on your shelf.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 3.0 — 2026-10-15

Where Was I? 3.0 is the biggest update yet.

• Find the show or book: seasons, episode counts and episode names (TV) or author and pages (books) fill in for you
• Next now knows when a season ends and moves you to the next one by itself
• Your episode's name, right under your place
• New-episode alerts (Unlimited): follow a show and get a notification the day its next episode airs
• Bring your books from Goodreads: import your library export in Settings
• Siri and Shortcuts: "Where was I?" and "Next episode", with your place read back
• Share your year: a card of everything you finished (Unlimited)
• Undo now also puts back a paused or queued entry, plus many smaller fixes

Everything you saved is still here, exactly where you left it.

### 2.0.1 — 2026-10-14

This update refreshes how Where Was I? appears on the App Store. The app itself is unchanged, and everything you've saved stays exactly where you left it.

### 2.0 — 2026-09-28

Where Was I? has been rebuilt from the ground up.
• Your exact place: seasons and episodes, pages, chapters, lessons, minutes
• One tap moves anything forward — with Undo
• A recap line to remember what was happening
• Up next queue, and a shelf for what you've finished, with ratings
• Backup to a file
• With Unlimited: Home and Lock Screen widgets, the full timeline, reminders, insights and your own categories
Everything you saved before is still here — and places typed like "S2E7" or "page 147" were turned into real positions.

### 1.0 — 2026-07-17
