## What is Where2Go?

Need a bathroom? Need a CLEAN bathroom? Where2Go relies on our community of members to locate, submit, and rate local bathrooms. Our goal is to be the number one resource for people trying to find a nice clean place to go number two.

Each bathroom has a “features” section that allows users to vote on whether that feature is available. Right now, these features are “public”, “ADA”, “changing tables” and “clean”. When a users vote is recorded, it will impact how others see the bathroom. Do your part and vote today!

Our leaderboards section shows users who go above and beyond, adding, reviewing, and rating bathrooms. Check it out!

While you’re in the bathroom, compete for the local high score in Toilet Run. Create an account to have your username atop Mount Toilet for all to see.

Currently, there are many bathrooms in Philly and in NYC. If your city isn’t on the map yet, fret not, and stick with us. Bathrooms just need to be added by the community. The more people who download the app in your area, the better, so let the people know what they’re missing.

If you have any issues or suggestions, please reach out to issues@where2goapp.co.

### 5/5 — Wonderful app

*2025-12-15, version 2.2*

I’m going to put this out into the world more. I’m going to recommend this to people. This app is amazing. There aren’t enough added bathrooms in Las Vegas so I’m going to be the pioneer. I piss all the time and this has saved me from getting a UTI. Thank you Hugo

### 1/5 — Not user friendly

*2021-11-27, version 2.0.001*

This app would be much more valuable if you were able to search for any restroom open to the public. After you locate them, THEN you can figure out how you’re going to be able to avail yourself of their facilities. Say, buy a meal, or grab some groceries or buy gas.
The filtering system is so specific you have to know there’s a bathroom before you try to find it. Pretty useless, especially if you have kids!!

### 5/5 — Fun idea

*2021-11-24, version 2.0.001*

Nice work Hugo!! Who doesn’t have to go sometimes when they’re out. Solves an age old problem of finding a place to relieve yourself when you’re in an unknown area. Hopefully this catches on and becomes a great tool!

### 1/5 — Don’t know how it works

*2021-08-17*

Maybe explain how to use it. It’s a good idea

**Developer response:** Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. I tried to make it as intuitive as possible, but I can see where there might be issues. I will create a video explaining the different features and add it to the App Store in a future update.

Right now, there aren’t many bathrooms in the database, so the map is going to look pretty empty. Most people will get a “no bathrooms in your area” message when they load it up. This will change as more users enter more bathrooms.

To explain the current usage a bit: to add a bathroom, the user can press the plus button in the top right corner of the main map screen. This brings them to the submit screen, where they can fill out the form and press submit. The bathroom gets added immediately. To escape from this screen without adding a bathroom, the user can just drag down the screen and dismiss it.

If there are bathrooms in the user’s area, they can click on the toilet icon, then tap the callout which brings them to the review and rating screen. Here they can see reviews (if there are any available) and the overall rating for the bathroom. The user can enter their own review and star rating by pressing the “submit review” button.

Additionally on this screen is a “play” button. After entering their initials in the initials box, tapping the play button brings the user to a tap game where they try to get the toilet as far as possible across the landscape. If the user gets the high score, they sit on the throne of that bathroom with their initials and high score displayed for everyone to see until their high score is topped.

If you (or anyone reading this) has any further questions, I am happy to answer them. Please email me at issues@bathroomking.space.

Thank you again, and please stick with me as we build this community.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.2 — 2024-05-08

Had to bring our old friend here into the 21st century. Couple changes under the hood.

Thanks to all of you who have added bathrooms!

Happy pooping!

### 2.1.0 — 2022-01-18

A new update is finally here. This one took me quite a bit of time, but there are a ton of improvements.

TLDR:
New bathroom screen with more info. Bathroom screen pops up smaller at first. Less intrusive. Swipe up to see the whole thing.
You can now vote on features at each bathroom (public, clean, ADA, changing tables).
All game scores now saved, with a new leaderboard at each bathroom.
Get travel time as well as route to bathroom from your location.
New bathroom issue reporting system.

Okay, now if you want to read more:

First up, the bathroom screen. When you click on a bathroom, instead of being brought to an obtrusive different view, you'll get a pop up on the bottom of the screen that presents you all relevant information about that bathroom. The distance, the type, the name, the rating... and now, the "features". For lack of a better word, I'm calling these things features. You'll notice on the bottom right of the popup options for Public, ADA, Clean, and Changing Tables. Next to these will be a red x, a green check, or a blank blue circle. As I am sure you can guess, green means yes, x means no, and blank means those features haven't been identified yet. Which brings me to.... the features voting. Drag upward (or scroll upward) on the popup to be presented with a full sized all new bathroom screen. Here you will see a section called Bathroom Features. As usual, its up to you wonderful users to make this useful. If a bathroom IS any of the options (it is available to public, it is clean, it is accessible, it is clean), press the thumbs up. If not, thumbs down. Then press save. Your votes get sent to the database, which then allows other users to see the scores. This will be useful now, but will be extra useful next update when I implement the ability to filter for these types of bathrooms.

Scroll down, you'll see a redesigned review section, with the latest review shown and the option to see all reviews available. The game will now show you the top 5 scores instead of just the current leader, so you know what the competition looks like. Speaking of, I fixed a bunch of bugs with the score handling, so every score is indexed now and the score leaderboards will be much more useful.

My favorite new feature, for no other reason than it looks cool, is the map section at the bottom of the bathroom screen. Scroll down, and you'll see a route mapped out between the bathroom and your current location. You can change the route to be either walking or driving. If you want full directions, press the get directions button to be brought to Apple Maps. Your walking/driving selection will be carried over there.

There is also an all new reporting system, with a much easier way to report problems. I hope you don't have to use it, but if you do, it has much more information.

Coming soon is the option to have the app auto open to the nearest public restroom, as many on the internet and a certain angry one star reviewer have requested.

Thank you all so much for adding bathrooms and making this app what it is. Please check out the leaderboards. The_Urban_Explorer still sits atop the throne, where they rightly belong for adding and reviewing 80 bathrooms in Philly and New York. EIGHTY BATHROOMS. 80! 8-0! 10 times 8! Truly incredible.

### 2.0.110 — 2021-12-09

Some bug fixes and small feature enhancements here. When you add or review a bathroom, you are no longer brought back to your location, your screen remains over whichever bathroom you were interacting with. Same thing with adding a bathroom, your screen will stay in that location. Sorry it took me so long to fix that. It was an early "feature", but became a nuisance as the app evolved.

I want to thank user The_Urban_Explorer for adding so many bathrooms. You are one of the backbones of this app, and I hope you read this and know the whole community appreciates you. Check out the leaderboards, everybody!

### 2.0.100 — 2021-12-04

Finally added the ability to long press on a location to add a bathroom there. Press and hold on a spot on the map and you will be brought to the bathroom add screen. This will make it much easier for you wonderful people adding bathrooms far from your current location. You are the backbone of this app.

I am still working on the labels feature (public, ADA, etc.) as well as some other new features. They should be rolled out soon. I just wanted to get this out quickly, and it was an easy coding fix.

### 2.0.002 — 2021-11-27

A couple more bug fixes. A huge welcome to all the new users. Thank you for adding bathrooms!
