## What is Whereable?

Whereable — where is it, and when does it expire? Find out instantly.

Add an item with one sentence or a photo, and Whereable remembers the room, the box, the expiry date and the warranty. Share it with your family so nobody has to ask "where is the passport?" again.

■ FIND THINGS INSTANTLY
Search by name, room, location, category or barcode. Siri can answer for you too: "Where are the passports in Whereable?"

■ NEVER MISS AN EXPIRY
Expiry dates, period-after-opening (PAO) reminders, warranty tracking and low-stock alerts for the things you actually use — medicine, cosmetics, pantry, cleaning supplies.

■ FAMILY SHARING — NOT EVERYONE NEEDS AN ACCOUNT
Add a name-only member for the grandparent or child who doesn't use a phone much, assign items to them, then pick a family member as their Guardian to help manage those items, including private ones. Invite up to 6 family members so everyone sees the same shelf, filter lists by owner, and decide per item whether it is shared with the family or private to you. Boxes can belong to a member too.

■ MOVING MODE
Create boxes, pack with a checklist, seal them, print QR labels, then scan each box at the new home so everything goes back where it belongs.

■ TOPIC VIEWS
Family medicine box, private medicine box, my cosmetics, my wardrobe — focused views that show what expires soon, what is running out and what you have not used in months.

■ AI BUTLER, PRIVATE BY DESIGN
One-sentence item creation, voice input and photo tagging run on your device first, with private cloud or cloud fallback only when needed. Ask things like "which medicines expire soon?" or "what should I wear to meet a client tomorrow?". Your AI history and long-term memory stay on your device.

■ YOUR HOME AT A GLANCE
Dashboard with total items, total value, expiring soon and a weekly report you can export as PDF for insurance.

No ads. No selling your data.

Available in English, 简体中文, Español, Deutsch, Français, 日本語 and 한국어.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.4.5 — 2026-10-29

1. New: Recycle bin. A mistaken delete is no longer permanent — deleted items go to the
recycle bin first (kept 7 days on the free plan, 30 days with Pro) and can be restored
at any time, or deleted immediately and for good.

2. New: five-second undo. After deleting from a list, an item's page or the to-do lists,
an "Undo" bar appears at the bottom; right-click delete on Mac works the same way.

3. New: iPhone Duo support. When unfolded the app switches to a split view (sidebar +
content) with a vertical toolbar on the right; folding back returns to the familiar
   phone layout.

4. Fixed: on Mac, an item deleted with the context menu could reappear after the next sync.
   Deletions now sync correctly.

5. Fixed: the category switches under the daily digest settings showed a %d placeholder
instead of labels such as "Expired" or "Expiring soon".

### 2.4.4 — 2026-10-26

1. New: Family activity. The dashboard now shows what your family recently added, moved,
deleted or lent out — tap "See all" for earlier entries. Actions on **private items are
shown only to you**; other family members never see them. The feed follows your app
   language.

2. Fixed (privacy): operations on private items could previously be seen by other family
members, including the item name. Private actions are now visible only to you (and to
you as the owner of your own private items when someone manages them on your behalf).

3. Fixed: items created before you set up a family could not upload photos (the photo
stayed on the device). Uploads now work.

4. Fixed: the family activity section stopped updating after the very first entry. It now
   refreshes over time.

### 2.4.3 — 2026-10-24

1. New: item QR codes. Generate a QR code on an item's page, print it, and stick it on a
box, drawer or storage bin. A family member scans it with their own phone and lands
straight on that item (iPhone and Android both work — print once, the whole family
   can use it).

2. New: app lock. Lock the app with Face ID or your device passcode; coming back requires
unlocking. The lock screen shows no content at all — even if a QR code or detail sheet
   was open when you left.

3. New: insurance / claim inventory. Export a PDF with photos, or a CSV with a total and a
note about currencies — for insurers, claims, resale or handing things over.

4. Smarter search: "shampoo" also finds "hair wash"; on iPhone, pinyin and initials work
(xyj → laundry detergent, xifashui → shampoo), and one typo (niumai → milk) still gets
   you there.

5. New: search by photo (iPhone). Take a picture, or pick one from your library, to find
items that look alike. Only each item's first photo is compared, and everything is
computed on-device — nothing is uploaded.

6. New: barcode fallback. When a barcode isn't in your own library, we look the product
name up in public databases, so you don't have to type it (if nothing is found, nothing
changes — you can still fill it in by hand).

### 2.4.2 — 2026-10-22

1. New: generate makeup advice from a face photo. The photo is analysed only on this
device — not uploaded, not stored, not saved to Photos, and discarded when you close
the screen. We ask for your separate consent before using it. Requires iOS 27 or later.

2. Makeup advice is more detailed: besides the picks, you now get "Why this palette"
and step-by-step instructions (4–8 steps with amounts, tools and technique, e.g.
"one pump, press with a damp sponge from the centre outwards").

3. Outfit advice is more detailed too: a "Why this outfit" note (cut, colour, occasion,
weather) plus "How to wear it" (3–6 steps such as tucking the shirt, rolling the
cuffs twice, where the necklace should sit).

4. Settings now has a dedicated "AI" page: on-device AI status, prefer on-device,
speech recognition language, and AI & data sharing — all in one place.

5. Generated makeup/outfit results no longer disappear when you switch to another page;
they stay as long as the app is running, and you can regenerate at any time.

6. Fixed: the camera only used the rear lens. It now opens with the front camera by
default, and you can switch between front and rear.

7. Fixed: after picking a photo from your library, the screen closed and you could not
continue. You now return to the preview as expected.

8. Because we added a disclosure for Private Cloud Compute, AI features will ask you to
confirm your consent once more. Declining still works — AI then stays on your device.

### 2.4.1 — 2026-10-15

Family members no longer all need an account. Add a name-only member for the grandparent or child who doesn't use a phone much, assign items to them, and pick a Guardian to help manage those items — including private ones.

· New: family members without an account (name only)
· New: Guardian — let a family member view/edit another member's items
· New: see whose item it is in lists, and filter by owner
· New: boxes can belong to a member too
· Fixed: occasional crash when swipe-deleting a box
· Fixed: form edits sometimes were not synced (important)
· Improved: free trial is now per account, so reinstalling doesn't reset it
