Whereabouts keeps a private, automatic record of which states and countries you spend your days in — the record you wish you had at tax time.

Set it up once and forget it. Whereabouts quietly logs your location in the background using Apple’s battery-friendly significant-change service, turns it into states and countries, and counts your days.

Create a private web address that always says where you are — state, city, or exact spot, your call. Drop it in your website, your bio, or a script. It answers in JSON, plain text, or an SVG badge. Nobody can look you up: the only way in is a link you hand out. The link is free — no subscription needed.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No servers. No analytics. Your location history never leaves your iPhone — export it whenever you want, and deleting the app deletes everything.

If tracking ever disconnects, Whereabouts tells you immediately, so your record never has silent gaps.

Whereabouts is $39.99 per year after a 7-day free trial, or $4.99 per month. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings.

The public link is now free for everyone. Create a private web address that always says where you are, drop it in your website or bio, and hand the new AI assistant prompt to your agent so it always knows where you are and what time it is for you. No subscription needed.

Day counts, your timeline and map, border alerts, and CSV export are part of the subscription, with a 7-day free trial.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-07

Share your travels. Whereabouts now makes a share card for your year — every state and country you spent time in, on one map — and one for every border you cross. Tap a welcome notification, the share button on your current stay, or hold any stop in your timeline, then post it straight to your story.

Also in this update: setup happens first and the subscription is offered after your first state is on the board, and there’s a monthly plan alongside the yearly one.

Whereabouts is now a yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial. If you were already using the app, nothing changes — you keep full access.
