### 1/5 — Subscription now needed

*2025-05-06*

Paid for the app roughly 1 month ago and notifications were great but now it’s been updated and requires a subscription even for notifications… seems wrong to have to pay for an app in the first instance and then have to pay subscription for notifications you were receiving before the update

**Developer response:** Sorry you’re unhappy. The problem I face is that infrastructure is required to support the service and I’ve been covering that cost for years. In my opinion I’m asking for moderate support to help keep the app going for the benefit of all users. I’m a single developer working on my own trying to make life easier for us all. Thank you for your feedback.

### 1/5 — Nope

Bought app a couple days ago for the notification feature, shortly afterwards app is updated and now this becomes subscription “feature”

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work since new update! Sort it out please

*2025-04-28*

Rubbish since updating

**Developer response:** Sorry you’re having trouble with the app. I believe an update pushed out may have already fixed the issue but could you clarify what problem you’re having and I’ll be happy to help. You can reach out to support@whichbridge.com.

Thanks,
Josh

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2023-09-26*

I have just paid for this app and it’s not working properly, say planned closure only one way this weekend when the national highways says it in both directions ..don’t waste your £2

**Developer response:** I’m sorry but the app agrees with the information provided on the national highways website. I think it slightly unfair to rate an app 1 star without reaching out to the dev to say there is a problem. I would have been more than happy to confirm the data and work with the user to get it right. This would benefit everyone.

### 1/5 — Which bridge - do not buy

*2022-12-02*

App does not work. Paid and nothing happens when you open the app

**Developer response:** Thanks for leaving your feedback. I'm sorry you've had issues with the previous version of the app. I've listened and the app has undergone a complete re-write to make it more responsive and more stable. I've also taken steps to improve the accuracy of the bridge status reporting. The new release should be available shortly.

### 1/5 — Incorrect information, bridge was close! This app isn’t accurate

*2021-11-01*

Incorrect information, bridge was close! This app isn’t accurate

**Developer response:** This relates to a previous version of the app. Be aware however that the bridge can close at any time without prior notice so there can be delays in the data feed the app uses. I'm constantly making improvements to ensure the data is as accurate as possible.

### 5/5 — No network connection

*2026-03-19*

Paid for the app which was initially really good but now app won’t open due to no network connection . Hopefully this will resolve soon ?

**Developer response:** This was a temporary back end server issue that was resolved quickly. Apologies for the inconvenience.

### 5/5 — Excellent App

*2025-09-26*

This is definitely the only App you need. Regular updates and reminders.

### 5/5 — Just takes the hassle out of commuting

*2025-05-18*

Have had this app over a year and it’s been the most reliable source overall to know when the bridge is shut/if there is a queue building. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews as it’s just over a tenner per year which you’d have spent going twice over the Severn bridge back when the tolls were in place! Happy to support a local Chepstow developer and tbh the app speaks for itself. The push notifications are particularly useful. No harm in using the trial and seeing for yourself.
