Nekhen, Naqada, Abydos were the main centers, becoming with the Old Kingdom

Within 400 years the first pyramids were constructed at Saqqara, Dahshur, Giza

Tomb 100 at Nekhen was found with many artifacts from different periods

Including the Narmer Palette with reliefs of Bat and Horus protecting Narmer
