## What is Whiff?

Every bag of dog food says it's the best one. The label knows better.

Whiff reads the label the way a careful nutrition nerd would (the ingredient list, the guaranteed analysis, the AAFCO statement, and the track record of the company behind it) and turns it into one grade, A to F, for your dog: their age, size, and stage of life.

Scanning and grading are free.

HOW IT WORKS
• Photograph the ingredient panel. Whiff reads it and grades on your phone, no account, no upload.
• Foods already in the catalog grade instantly from the barcode.
• Every grade comes with the full why: safety and life-stage fit, manufacturer credibility, protein quality, ingredient cautions.
• Grades are personal. The same bag can be a B for an adult Lab and an F for a growing puppy.

WHAT THE GRADE WEIGHS
• Whether the food is complete and balanced for your dog's life stage, and how the maker substantiated that
• The manufacturer's record: recalls (recent and serious ones count more), qualified nutritionists on staff, published research, quality control
• Protein: how much, and where it comes from
• Ingredient cautions like artificial colors and BHA/BHT, flagged as a precaution

The full methodology is public: whiff.dog

WHIFF PLUS (optional)
• Feed this instead: a better-scoring swap matched to your dog and your budget
• Recall watch: the foods you feed, checked against FDA-announced recalls, with an alert the moment one touches your bag
• Every dog in the house: separate profiles, separate grades
One yearly price or one lifetime price.

Whiff is education, not veterinary advice. Grades come from published labels and public records. For medical conditions, your vet outranks any app.
