Features I would like to see in the future: -ability to add folders/categories for recipes (so I can categorize them by breakfast/lunch/dinner, or cuisine, or difficulty level, or cost, etc.) -improved ability to manually edit the recipes once generated (especially adding new ingredients) -Going in tangent with that, a more user friendly format where I can manually enter my own recipes from my head rather than having to find a similar recipe online and then tweak it. -ability to share (and view) recipes within the app from/with other users ### 2/5 — It’s not working *2026-05-18* Been using it a while and previously it’s a hit or miss whether the recipe actually saves which is okay since 20% of the time I have to do it twice. Currently none of my recipes save and I tried deleting and reinstalling without any luck. Annoying because I reverted back to saving recipes on notes. Thank you! ### 2/5 — Bad for a paid app *2026-05-10* It simply doesn’t work properly. It crashes constantly, which makes it very inconvenient, because you paste the recipe from instagram, but it crashes and doesn’t save it. So you have to keep repeating the process. If this wasn’t bad enough, I suddenly lost all my bookmark recipes. Now I have over 50 recipes, but can’t sort them. I’ll have to organize them all over again. Which would be fine, if it wasn’t a paid app. ### 3/5 — Bug *2026-05-08* All of my favorites suddenly disappeared, and I lost months of organization and saved content. I’m honestly so upset about it. Please try again and you'll see them! ### 2/5 — Waste of money *2026-04-18* Update: First, you can’t save recipes from anywhere with this app. Basically it was Facebook and Instagram. The last several weeks it won’t even save from those. Constant glitching and nothing done by Support. The app works occasionally on Facebook and Instagram but nothing else. I end up saving to my Pinterest account which is free and doesn’t glitch like Whisk. Took my money and disappeared. The app stopped working. Then it only works on Facebook or Instagram. It doesn’t upload the videos and you can’t even change the pictures at times. It just constantly does not work! ### 3/5 — Free trial keeps popping up *2026-02-11, version 1.5.6* I like the application, but every time when I open it the screen for the free trial keeps popping up. Its very annoying! Also I couldn’t save YouTube videos recipe ### 3/5 — Glitchy *2026-01-31* You have to close this app every time you add a recipe because if you try to add more than one, it just repeats the last recipe you added and adds it again. Too annoying. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work and not free *2026-01-28* Jus downloaded it and got stuck behind a paywall to sign up for an annual or monthly subscription. No way to skip or opt out for the free version. I ended up doing the free trial. I tried an Instagram and TikTok link and nothing loaded past I would say 95%. Then when I closed out of the app and tried to open it again it had logged me out. I tried to sign back in and select restore purchases but it said it had no record of my purchase when I had just signed up for the free trial. I selected the annual option again and then I got a message from Apple saying I was already in a trial and it let me back in. But I was still unable to link any social media links to it. It just wouldn’t fully load after several minutes. I cancelled the trail and I’m deleting this useless app. ### 2/5 — Issues with creating recipes *2026-01-26, version 1.5.6* I really like the app but the recipe creation is very frustrating. It takes numerous attempts to actually get it to create. I have the same experience whether using links, copy and paste, or even typing it in manually. Because of this I will likely start looking for an alternative app. ### 2/5 — Crashing and Inaccuracies *2026-01-26* The app won’t keep me logged in long enough to let me use my recipes! It keeps having me log in over and over and I can’t use it anymore. I was really excited about this app and I was going to do the 1 year subscription, but I’m glad I didn’t. I noticed the recipe saved by the app isn’t accurate to the original recipe I put in… it will leave out ingredients or even substitute ingredients to something else. I had a recipe that had an optional glaze made from butter and cinnamon and the app replaced it with milk and powdered sugar. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2026-07-12* The app has some issues with accuracy at times and doesn’t always save the recipe. It was usable, though, until a recent update and it deleted ALL of my recipes. They’re all gone and there has been no support response. I’m so upset that I lost everything and PAID for this app. I will never rely on it to keep my recipes again. That’s money down the drain and months of recipes that I’d still have if I just wrote them down like before. ### 1/5 — Is this a scam ?? *2026-06-18* I purchased the premium version expecting to unlock all the features but I still can’t add new recipes. There’s no help center or customer support, only a link to their instagram account, which is not acceptable for a paid application. I’m very disappointed and can’t recommend it. ### 1/5 — BEWARE OF THIS APP *2026-05-24, version 1.6.4* UPDATE- AFTER CANCELLING RENEWAL OPTION WHISK COMPLETELY CUT ME OFF FROM USE FOR MY CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION. I’ve had this app for a year and get a fail at least 50% of the time using both Facebook and Instagram recipe links. I cancelled my subscription which expires in July 2026 and Whisk cut me off 2 months early. ### 1/5 — All data wiped w/latest update *2026-05-15* I loved this app and had been using it for several months. Was on the premium subscription and was extremely happy. Until the latest update and all my data was wiped. I thought I had the wrong login so I tried another one and still came up with “start by saving your first recipe”. I reached out to support via email and no response. I uploaded five samples, and it generated the same Al Pastor taco recipe five times ### 1/5 — doesn’t work *2026-04-09* I have really tried to like this app but it has way too many issues for REQUIRING a subscription. I tried many different recipes from different platforms and no matter what the “recipes” that were created from the video/websites were all so wrong. I had to spend time just fixing the mistakes. So many competitors to choose from instead. I suggest making it so you do not have to have a subscription, and offer a free base app! I take the same recipe and enter into Honeydew and it copies. I’m testing Honeydew for reliability because I may switch. So far, unlike this app, it’s flawless. For 40 bucks, it should work much better than it does. I use it daily not only for new recipes but some of the old ones my mom use to make. The support is awesome as well.
