I absolutely do love the game and recommend it to anyone, but there are some notable drawbacks. 1: Injuries. I have cats get one tiny scrape and they just… never heal? They sit around for sometimes 20 moons and get healed just to injure themselves again. Very boring. 2: Mates. Cats rarely get together, and when they do it takes forever for them to have a kit. Kits are also quite rare and you can be left with few cats for long periods. I wish we could choose who to pair as well. ### 4/5 — A few improvements needed *2026-04-11, version 0.9.5* Great! Love it! Downloaded it because I don’t have a PC so I can’t play ClanGen. But, I feel it’s unfinished. My brand new apprentice’s mentor is a cat who died before that apprentice was born. A cat disappeared on patrol but she still shows up as eligible to go on patrols (she’s injured, though). Injuries take too long to heal- my leader’s not gonna take more than 1 moon to heal a cut from grass. I like the game but ads get annoying. ### 4/5 — It’s a good game but a 1 issue *2025-07-16, version 0.9.5* It’s such a good game but I have a issue and recommend to add to the game the issue is I can’t heal my cats if they get hurt and I really thing you guys should add a button where you can press it and it pops up with your hurt/sick cats and put them in the med area instead of waiting a very long time depending on what happened to them.my recommendation is that you make the cats having mates and kits more frequent because to me it never happens so please please make it more frequent. New roles:Med app,apprentice,queen ### 4/5 — Cats *2025-07-05* I love this game so much, the cats are really cute but there isn’t much you can do. It’s just watching cats get to old age. Also they don’t repopulate that much and when they do they only have one kitten, it would be dinner if they had different numbers that could be born at a time. The game would be cooler if there was more ways for the cats to die that is not just of old age. Overall this game is really fun but could be better. ### 4/5 — It’s pretty good *2025-06-14, version 0.9.5* I’ve played Clangen many times before, and read the best reviews I could find for this game and decided to get it. This game is more fun than I thought, and some of the translations are very funny, while others make me confused, like ‘Retired’ when the cats had actually died. I have some suggestions for this game: 1. Mates and kits. Yes, cats can become mates and have a single kitten, but you can’t really chose which cats get together and how many kits, and for the mother it doesn’t even list them as pregnant, and both parents don’t even show their own children on their profile. Also the mates and families aren’t listed, so memory is your best bet. 2. Relationships. The relationship meter doesn’t really change, and newer cats say they know cats who have been long dead. ‘Intimacy’ confuses me, is it romantic? Platonic? Friends? I can’t really tell. Also, it doesn’t show the cats they dislike. 3. Skip time. The skip time is fine, it’s just that after reaching zero with the tuna thingy above you have to join every day to get more or pay money. This has caused me to restart many times. The translations can be a little wonky but other than that the skip time isn’t bad. 4. Cat names and translations. Not trying to compare this game to Clangen, but the translations and cat names can get annoying. Like for winter sometimes it will say ‘Frost’ and other times ‘Cold leaf’ and sometimes, like spring, they change so much I have to guess based on the background. The cat names are ok and sometimes super funny, but when new cats come occasionally, it gives them a name like a cat that I already have. I wouldn’t mind some traditional Warrior cat names ( also for ceremonies you have to change the names yourself) One last thing is when a new cat comes they aren’t usually announced, I’ll have random kits spawn out of nowhere and occasionally have a cat just appear. Most of the time it happens during skip time, other times not. 5. Apprentices and medicine cats. For apprentices it counts their experience as apprentice while their role is either medicine cat or warrior. I wish that was switched so I could actually tell. Also, even after the cats have graduated, it still updates about their mentors training them. Another thing is that sometimes the apprentices are listed with a mentor who isn’t the right role, like a warrior apprentice gets a medicine cat, and sometimes leaders of dead cats! Also, medicine cat healing takes wayyyy too long, and minor injuries mean they can’t even work! 6. Elders. They are still sent on patrols, which sometimes confuses me on their role, but other than that cats retire at 120 moons and I don’t really mind. That’s all, some other things here and their with roles, but overall really good game.👍🏾 ### 4/5 — Good game *2025-05-30, version 0.9.5* Amazing game great at killing boredom but you should be able to pair cats up on you own and not wait and see if a cat will find love ### 4/5 — A few suggestions! *2025-05-27* So I absolutely ADORE this game!! Though one thing I’d like to suggest is Foraging, it would help bring more than just healing to the medics. Also the chefs should have a cooking area!! Where they actually have to use prey from hunts to prepare meals! Which in turn could make a prey system, a hunter role etc! I hope this game updates soon, since it’s been a year since last update, I can only hope there’s a big one around the corner! For a few hours, at least. First, you can't breed cats and have kits. Second, a cat is ALWAYS getting injured. Third, after a while you run out of fish so you can't skip time, which makes the game pointless- you practically have to pay to play. The game also lags and randomly pauses on me. Please add more! ### 3/5 — Problems and Things to Love! (for mobile users) *2025-07-17* This game is paw-some! The kitties agree! It’s great that you can name your cats in this game, and that you can choose which cats to send out on a patrol! (it’s funny when I send them all out and the camp is empty) But the cats seem to only be able to die by old age, which doesn’t spark a lot of creativity, lore, or drama into the game. I love the different colors and names, which are all always funny and amusing, and this even is better to play than Clangen (when on mobile). But the cats don’t take on mates (or partners) very often, or you can’t seem to do anything in order to make the cats have interests for each other. Kits are also a problem, as the litters only come in one kit at a time, or also hardly at all. Besides that, I love the game, especially the “unemployed” part, that’s funny! Keep up the good work, Whisker Grove is amazing and so lively! (maybe make it to where you can have more than one Clan, or even get rid of one). The cat’s are watching the dawn together! :3 Meow! ### 3/5 — ClanGen is better *2025-06-22* This is a very cute game but it’s not hiding the fact that it is essentially just a ClanGen rip off. It plays almost exactly the same, and I’m pretty sure all of the cat icons are just traced over, but it has a lot less options on what you can do with your cats and clan. All of your cats spend more time being sick and injured than not and you don’t get to use them for anything. If I were you, I’d just play ClanGen. Kits: if a cat does have kits it’s only 1 so in future updates please fix it? 3. Med cats: I like the med cats but can like the med cats have their own separate patrols to collect herbs? And when I click the ‘ medicine area ‘ thing it does nothing so please make it if I press it like it shows the amount of herbs and all the sick/weak/injured cats? 4. Patrols: I like to do patrols but can you make it so I can choose what patrols I do? Like border, hunting, training, herb gathering, etc… 5. Roles: I don’t really like in time skips it says ‘ npc kit has become a apprentice! ‘ or ‘ npc kit has become a young man! ‘ so what I’m trying to say is that I think when the kit is old enough it changes from bluekit(example) to bluepaw(example) and when apprentices become warriors I don’t want to check all the apprentices’ thing to see if it says ‘content’ so when they become warriors can it say something like “ blue paw is now blue stripe in honor of their fur colors ‘ or something like that? 6. Injuries: I absolutely hate the fact that cats get hurt so much and takes so long to heal and I have like 4 hurt cats and 10 meds and none of them are healing so please fix this! 7. chefs: I love the cats who have ‘ chef ‘ but I wish like they had a area for making meals if possible? 8. Prey: if possible can there be a fresh-kill pile and cats would have hunger bars to show if they’re hungry? Or they’d get sick if they get to hungry? If possible? 9. Mediators: there are personas of ‘ mediator ‘ for a cat but they can’t mediate so how I have to mediate the cats who I want to be together is being on patrol alone and that increases their chance of getting hurt, lost, or killed by an animal on patrol so can there be a update where mediators can mediate other cats I want? So I know I’m asking a lot for updates but please can there be an update soon? I really love this game but please update this because I’m 10 right now and I had this game when I was 7 and there hasn’t even been a update for a while now so please update this game as soon as you can 🙏🙏. Problem: I have a certain dead cat in the game who I absolutely /hate/!
