## What is Whisky Tasting?

TastingRoom is the app for rating whisky and other spirits — then tasting them together, not just logging bottles.

Point the camera at a label. Recognition picks up distillery, bottling, and vintage, so you skip the typos. Rate it neat or with a mixer, tag aromas, add notes. It works offline and syncs when you’re back online.

Your library lives in one place: what’s on the shelf, the wishlist, and everything you’ve already drunk. Photos and bottle pages, plus buy links when you want a refill.

Tastings are the point. Start a session, invite friends with a code or QR. Structured (everyone rates the same bottle at once) or casual (everyone goes at their own pace). Scores sync live, a five-star pour hits the jackpot, and you keep the full history with notes.

Social without the noise: connect by QR or friend code, see taste overlap and shared favorites, follow an activity feed from your circle only. Nothing is shared unless you choose it — no tracking, no ads in the app.
