We’d love to hear what you think! ### 1/5 — Sie funktioniert bei mir nicht *2021-06-15* Tolles Layout, grundsätzlich gute Funktionalität. Allerdings lädt die App meine Sammlung nicht. Beim Neustart der App wird die Liste bis zum Buchstaben G geladen und dann Ende. Filter setzten funktioniert auch nicht, da wird dann gar nichts mehr gefunden. Schade. Daher nutze ich die App um neue Whiskys der Kolektion hinzuzufügen. Tried to change language but no settings menu to do that. Tried to inform developers but no direct link. Das eigene Profil (Sammlung, Wunschliste, ...) wird so gut wie nicht angezeigt 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Das Profil anderer kann auch nur ab und zu angesehen werden! I had hoped it would be good, but it isn’t. ### 1/5 — Geht nicht *2025-10-30* Nach mehrfachem Versuch mein Account wiederherzustellen, habe ich einen neuen erstellt. Dort bin ich eine Nummer und kann an meinem Profil nur anpassen welches Bild ich haben möchte. Ich kann aber nicht mal das Profil löschen. Ganz zu schweigen, dass ich beim vergessen des Passwortes nicht mal bestätigen kann um eine Mail zum passwortreset zu bekommen. Wie soll ich denn da überhaupt eine Sammlung anlegen. We’d love for you to update the app and see what you think of the latest version. ### 1/5 — Crashes All the Time *2025-04-20, version 1.4.3* I am a big fan of the website and really want the app to work well on my phone so I can make best use of the resources of the website. Unfortunately that is not the case. The app just crashes too often to be useful on iPhone. As an example, I have photos of a bottle that has none in the db and wanted to upload them. I opened the app, searched by Whiskybase ID number, selected the bottle and the app crashed. I tried it again and it crashed again. Tried closing the app and restarting it with no change. I am on the most recent version. I can only conclude that the developers do not test adequately on iPhone and that Whiskybase doesn’t care about iPhone users. We’d love for you to update the app and see what you think of the latest version. ### 1/5 — I wanna love it *2025-03-24, version 1.4.3* I want to love this app but I can’t even login because the iPhone 16 Pro keyboard covers the “login” button at the bottom of the sign in screen. I can enter my username and password, and I know there’s a sign in button but it’s covered by the keyboard. I hit the “return” button on the keyboard to no avail. I can login on the web so my credentials are good. So sad as this database has such promise. #FAIL ### 1/5 — App crashes when submitting detailed tasting *2024-03-20, version 1.4.2* Spent 10 mins writing tasting notes just to have the app crash when trying to submit. Now it’s a complete remake. Scanning whisky barcodes and take pictures of labels works great. There are a few glitchy things that I wish they would fix. And I want a feature to check in to everytime I drink a dram at a bar. but it’s definitely the best whiskey app, no competition really when you have the size of their database ### 5/5 — Great App *2026-06-04, version 2.2.0* wonderful app for checking whisky ratings. Sharing opinions. Recording bottles on hand or in the past. Also has a wish list feature and can scan labels. Handy to check prices. Almost 200k bottles. Great for managing collection and finding bottles and info. Ich nutze sie zum verwalten meiner Sammlung und um sie immer dabei zu haben. Auch wenn es banal klingt aber ich würde mich sehr über einen Darkmode freuen! It never remembers my log in. Why can’t it do that? 2. No share feature. Everything has a share button now. I should be able to find a bottle I like and want to share with my friends, click a share button and it sends a link to it via email, text, etc. This can’t do that at all. 3. It is difficult to find my collection. When I do find it, you can’t add new bottles from there. Basically this feels like they had an intern make an app as a summer project. ### 3/5 — Useful but needs work *2022-04-27, version 1.3.1* App is useful for keeping a record of your whiskies and finding new ones to try. However, adding a new whisky that is not in the database is impossible.
