I’m returning this to Costco. ### 1/5 — Files won’t delete *2019-09-12* I’ve tried deleting the same “event” files ten times, and it will say “file deletion successful” and the files show up again immediately after. The camera continuously runs out of save space due to this and nothing seems to fix it. I’m ready to return the camera on account of this never working properly. It saves regular drive time under “events” when nothing has happened and I’m on smooth roads. There’s no point of having a dash cam if it won’t free file space for when you might really need it. Overall lousy experience. ### 1/5 — Nice Idea, Bad Product *2019-06-26* Bought this from Costco with high hopes. You can buy this and try it, but I hope this review saves you time and energy. Here are the pros: -Small -Great view angle -Easy set up | camera set up and app set up -Detachable camera from base, and can be turned about horizontally only, that is -Capture photo, and video Here are the cons: -Powers off immediately once power cord detached or cam is removed from base(battery holds little or no charge) -Does not record at all in parking mode as it powers off Seemingly no battery power is retained even after charged -WiFi cuts off prematurely-not at the standard 100 ft allowance as set forth by EEE -No license plate recognition -No zoom ### 1/5 — Download and share? NOPE *2019-04-30, version 1.0* Update: I contacted support and was told videos automatically recorded by the camera CANNOT be downloaded to your camera roll or shared “due to the file size.” Only videos manually recorded by using the phone app connected to the camera via WiFi while driving can be shared using the app. You must remove the camera or memory card and hook it up to a computer to get at the files. Total joke, this is going back to Costco and I will be purchasing a 4K camera from Amazon for cheaper with an app that has received some development investment. So the app description says you can download and share files. I’m able to download videos to the app just fine, but how do you get the files out of the app into your camera roll, email, etc??? ### 1/5 — Pathetic *2019-04-24, version 1.0* No instructions how to use App. Gold medal if you can figure out how to download a video and then how to send it say to your email address or even view it in your photos or videos folder on iOS. The app isn’t formatted to fit the screen of my iPhone XS which is kind of annoying but it’s fine if I could get the app to work. 2. The instructions tell me to scan the QR code in the DVR section and then connect to WiFi but I can’t view the DVR unless I connect it to WiFi first. And to connect to WiFi I need the password but the password is nowhere to be found. I tap download, it looks like it downloads, but I can’t find the video. Also, why are there so many videos saved to the event folder? That is clogging up the memory card and limits the amount of new video the can can record. Can’t really recommend this cam system. Installed the app on my iPhone. Setup per instructions in the manual, and it works. Because it’s a DVR, the car cam acts as a WiFi server, so you need to connect to it. Yes, that means you are not connected to your usual WiFi connection, just to the car cam. This app has limited controls for the car cam. It’s for fun I guess. For when you’re in the car and want to access the car cam to record videos, but it does work. Read the instructions in the manual before posting a review critical of the app. Inability to follow instructions is on the user, not the app. ### 1/5 — Storage *2020-01-27* Im trying to clear up space because the storage is full, but when i delete the videos through the app and then exit the app, when i log back on the videos that i deleted are still there. After installing on the dash, the cam starts recording but shuts off within 15-30 seconds. After the update I wasn’t able to remotely access the storage disk like I had been able to in the past.
