## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.6.5 — 2026-04-27

Welcome to Peak Live Pro — the pro edition of Peak Live. Same Whistler mountain toolkit (forecasts, webcams, lifts, grooming, temps, alerts), with ongoing personalization and reliability improvements.

This update (2.6.5)

• Visual improvements to the Temperatures grid and bubble chart for dark mode.

• Improved period headings for the Backcountry page.

In version 2.5.4:

• Temperature colors — Auto – New Auto uses summer colors June 1–October 14 and winter otherwise (America/Vancouver). Auto is the default for this update; Winter and Summer remain in Settings.

• Mid-mountain (snow-forecast.com) – The summary headline appears only when the feed includes a proper phrase; avoids empty or misleading one-line snippets.

Recently (2.6.3) — if you skipped that release

• New My Lifts on Home – Dedicated My Lifts hero (enable/order in Home Layout). Compact scrolling layout; Pill or Icon status style. Detail sheet with Customize, All Lifts, and settings under Settings → Home Tab (including My Lifts Layout).

• My Lifts refresh – Refresh in the detail sheet; Home pull-to-refresh updates hero status; clearer status and wait visuals.

• Lifts tab – New 2-Columns Icons layout (gauge-style status, cleaner cell layout).

• Backcountry weather – Better period separation and weekday grouping in the weather forecast section.

• Forecast charts – Freezing level line chart plotting improved to reduce occasional smoothing artifacts.

• Webcam defaults – Snow Ruler defaults toward zoomed-first; Creekside defaults to line image (still customizable).

Earlier highlights

Rebranding to Peak Live Pro (formerly Whistler Live / Peak Cams), Patrol sheet, Temps card layouts, expanded Backcountry advisory content, push alert customization, My Grooming + grooming alerts, Home Layout, and weather bubble chart improvements.

Thank you for using Peak Live Pro.

### 2.4 — 2026-03-21

• Navigation menu – Improved layout; the menu scrolls so every item stays reachable on smaller screens and with larger text.

• Settings – Refreshed layout with icons and clearer sections; new options for webcams, forecasts, and home (see below).

• Webcams – New detailed view with extra weather information while you browse cams. Choose default tap behavior: Detailed, Zoomed (full image), or Video. Snow Ruler has its own override so you can use a different tap style for that cam.

• Forecasts – Mid-Mountain, Alpine, and Summit tabs have improved layout and readability. Refresh is smoother for pulling the latest forecast text. Settings shows helpful timestamps for forecast data.

• Lifts – Better mapping from Whistler Blackcomb to Epic for On Hold and Standby in the Discrepancies section so status differences are clearer.

• Home / Snow report – Pull-to-refresh updated so the snow report on Home refreshes more reliably.

• Home / Temperature strip – Refined Settings layout for the home temperature strip. On smaller devices, pick the first weather station for the strip; larger screens still show all six stations.

• Roads – Highway cams support pinch-to-zoom; tap to open a larger view.

Thank you for using Whistler Peak Cams.

### 2.3 — 2026-03-18

Fixes - Corrects placeholder messages on home hero for Recent Updates section. Corrects PigAlley label to Roundhouse for 1850m temperature reading on home hero.
New - Added "Minimal" layout option to home hero temperatures. Find the option in the Settings page.
Larger devices - Added additional home hero temperature stations and improved layout for larger devices, including iPad and MacOS.

• Home tab – new hero layout & carousel controls – Choose where the webcam/snow-stake strip appears (Top or Bottom). On wide devices, the hero expands to six temperatures, six snow cells, and a three-column Recent Updates grid.

• Home tab – hero temperatures redesigned – New temperature styles: Compact, Stat cards, Minimal (stat-card layout with no chrome), and Section. Compact now uses an indicator + elevation row and a large temperature row.

• Home tab – station label fix (1850m) – The mid-mountain hero slot now shows Roundhouse (or Rendezvous fallback) instead of the incorrect Pig Alley label when displaying the 1850m station.

• Home tab – Recent Updates bug fixes – Cleaner and more accurate messaging:
No placeholder messages.
Only shows today’s items (local day); stays hidden if nothing yet today.

• Forecasts tab – multiple segments + RWDI – Forecasts now includes 1480m Mid‑Mountain, 1800m Alpine (RWDI), and 2248m Summit. RWDI includes precipitation and freezing-level charts plus Forecast Highlights.

• Forecasts tab – table & chart polish – Outlook tables use colored cell backgrounds for snow (blue) and rain (green) with white text. RWDI precipitation chart labels are decongested when the highest bars are adjacent (only one max label shows units).

• Settings & navigation – Home settings moved to the top of Settings. “Temperature icons” help text is now visible below the Home section to clarify it applies to the Compact hero temperature style.

Thank you for using Whistler Peak Cams.

### 2.2 — 2026-03-18

• Home tab - Hero redesign - Choose where the webcam carousel appears: Top or Bottom of the Home tab. The hero temperature area now supports Compact, Stat cards, or a single Section card, and the wind cards open the wind bubble chart.

• Forecasts tab - Multiple segments - The Forecasts tab includes 1480m Mid-Mountain, 1800m Gondola Summit (RWDI), and 2248m Alpine Summit. New users open on the Forecasts tab with 1800m selected.

• Forecasts tab - RWDI charts and highlights - The 1800m forecast shows precipitation and freezing level charts above the synopsis, plus Forecast Highlights for the biggest snow and freezing-level days.

• Forecasts tab - Imperial units - Imperial units now carry through the forecast charts and tables, including rounded precipitation and freezing level values for easier reading.

• Settings and navigation - The Home section now sits at the top of Settings. The drawer order is Home first, then the other tabs and sheets alphabetically, then Settings last.

Thank you for using Whistler Peak Cams.
