It would get five stars if it had a better selection. I really like the fact that you have a few options for “white” noise, like the blue noise. I just wish the sound you have were actual recordings. The owls sound like an owl call ( like turkey or duck calls). I would love to hear spring peepers and Barred Owls. A Barred Owl has a deeper sound and a distinct rhythm. ### 4/5 — So far...My Savior! *2016-01-30, version 3.1* I love it so far. It's exactly simple enough for me. I sincerely hope the developer would consider though, an option to slow down the track. Most of the noises would be more soothing at a slower rate so the heart and breath could follow and reach a more relaxed state. If they were to add a speed adjuster, much like the volume adjuster, this app would have no competition. It would be PERFECT if the user could adjust for either meditative breath or sleeping breath; the way the sounds are now, it's too rapid for relaxation. ### 5/5 — Got my Attention *2015-05-07, version 1.2* love it. I've tried a variety of apps to mask the sound, and they were either ineffective or annoying. What makes this app different--and so successful--is the ability to layer several sounds, and being able to set the volume of each one. The other thing that makes this stand out is having urban sounds--subways, traffic, and rain on city streets. I have been surprised at how effective it has been to mix the urban sounds with more traditional soothing tracks. So happy to have found this app, thank you!! ### 3/5 — A good start *2015-04-29, version 1.2* The more random-sounding an effect the better but for some the loop is far too short and it becomes monotonous rather than soothing. Sound quality is quite good for the most part, but perhaps cutting down the sheer quantity and, quite frankly, duplication of sounds would allow for longer samples than only a few seconds. There's less sounds of night, and the drum sound effects are no longer here. (If you guys would add those back, I would appreciate it.) However, if this was my first time using this app, I would probably have given five stars anyway for its mix feature and wide range of sounds.... But why scissors? And why two different scissor sounds? Also the chicken....
