## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.4 — 2025-10-31

New Features

Displaying Stamp Address Information in the Platform and in Exported Contracts
•	When a stamp on a contract or Contract Correction includes addresses, that information is clearly shown below the stamp.
•	Stamp address information is not shown for endorsement agreements, indicative stamps on a ‘Quote Details’ panel, or button stamps, which do not have any associated addresses.
•	Older stamps without any address data are unchanged, without any blank address-related boxes or fields.
•	By default, address information is included when exporting a contract to PDF or MS Word. Address inclusion can be easily toggled off in the ‘Export’ screen options.

Exporting PDF and Word Documents With Just One Underwriter’s Stamp/s per Printed Page
•	Exporting with one stamp per page places each written line’s stamp/s together on a single page of the exported document, including split stamps, mirror stamps, or section stamps.
•	Each stamp page contains a full copy of the contract heading and its text to ensure there are no gaps in the contract for any participant.
•	If a (re)insurer’s stamps require a lot of space, they are continued over to a second page without being run onto another participant’s details.

Enhancements
•	When writing a line, underwriters now see an information box towards the bottom of the screen listing the number of stamps they can choose from.
•	In the export screen, the contract sections are listed individually, and now include a checkbox to restart page numbering at the beginning of that section.
•	In addition to appearing as a cover or appendix within an exported contract, inline attachments can now also be set to appear in full within the exported contract at the position that their contract heading occupies, or alternatively at the end of that contract section.
•	When brokers update signed lines, the total percentage value of all lines is shown in the same way that it is when originally signing the lines.
•	The ‘Coverholder’ contract heading is now available for inclusion in contracts under the ‘Risk Details’ contract section.
•	Having written a line on an off-platform contract, underwriters now only receive notification emails when the broker sends them a chat message about the contract, signs it, or adds a post-signing attachment.
•	When cloning an existing contract which does not have an extended data Q&A questionnaire, it is now possible to also import a questionnaire from a user-selected template.

### 3.3 — 2025-09-07

New Features

Declarations Shown to a Facility Panel can be Set to Automatically Progress Through the Placing Process
• Each time a declaration is shown – to different facilities and/or with different sections – the broker can choose whether or not to set Auto-Cascade as active or inactive for that showing.
• When active, the declaration goes through the placing process automatically.
o The broker shows the declaration to the facility leader as normal.
o Once the leader writes their line, the declaration is automatically shown to any agreement parties.
o When they have all written lines, all notify and non-notify parties are automatically bound.
o The broker is notified that the declaration is ready for signing.

Draft Contracts can be Renamed to Eliminate Confusion When Working With Multiple Drafts
• Contract drafts can now be freely renamed as necessary. The number displaying the order in which the contract’s draft versions were created is shown prominently in each draft’s icon, and is not adjustable.
• Draft names can be up to 75 characters long, and accept all regular text.

The Precision of Automatic Decimal Places for Firm Order Line Guidance to a Declaration has Been Improved
• The Whitespace Platform can support seven decimal places of precision.
• When calculating fractional lines, automatic decimals default to rounding line percentages after four decimal places.
• When the original facility agreement includes a written line with more than four decimal places then the automatic decimal calculation will start rounding at that degree of precision instead.
• The broker can manually override the number and value of the decimals being used at any time.

Draft Contracts Cloned From a Template Clearly Link Back to Their Source Template
• When a new draft contract is cloned from a template, a link to that template is preserved.
• This information is only shown at the draft contract stage, and only if the draft was directly cloned from a template. If the draft is cloned or duplicated, the new version does not display any template information.

Underwriters Must Provide a Reason for Declining a Request to Quote
• When declining a request to quote, underwriters must now select a decline reason from a pre-defined list of 19 options.
• The ‘Other’ option allows underwriters to specify less-common reasons for declining.

Enhancements
• To assist users outside of the London Market, the default term ‘UMR’ is being replaced with ‘Unique Reference’ for new contracts.
o New contracts that specifically require a Lloyd’s UMR can still feature a UMR contract heading and data label.
• When an endorsement is created, its effective date is now automatically tagged as the data value of the ‘Endorsement Effective Date’ tag.
• To ensure consistency between the browser and the iOS app, both versions of the Whitespace Platform are more thorough about showing dates in US format when that option is selected.
o US date formats are correctly displayed across the platform for inception dates, dates shown in the Overview screen, stamp dates, subjectivity dates, endorsement and MTPC ‘effective from’ dates, exported document created dates, and more.

### 3.2 — 2025-05-23

New Features
•	Brokers can enforce the use of approved stamps as part of the ‘Approved (Re)Insurers’ system
•	The ‘Approved (Re)Insurers’ functionality now includes control over stamps used on a contract.
•	Admins can assign approved stamps to user teams.
•	Underwriters cannot use unapproved stamps when writing a line for that broker.

•	Templates and editable contracts can be assigned mandatory data tags that must be completed
•	Template Managers can create mandatory tag sets and assign them to new and existing templates using the browser version of the Platform.
•	Brokers can also assign a tag set to editable contracts using the browser version of the Platform.
•	A contract with unfilled mandatory tags cannot be shown as a firm order.

•	Section heading titles can be hidden in exported documents
•	Individual Section Headings can be hidden in PDF and Word exports.
•	Alongside earlier systems to hide contract heading titles, users now have full flexibility regarding the appearance of exported contracts.

•	Tagged dates can be displayed in US date format
•	Contracts can now use the US format of Month DD YYYY as well as the international DD Month YYYY format.
•	This option can be set at the organisation, template, or individual contract level.
•	Underwriters see contracts using the date format specified by the broker.

•	Tagged data associated with a deleted section is clearly labelled and easy to reset
•	Deleting a section from a contract doesn’t delete its section ID from linked groups/‘pages’ of data tags.
•	Generally, that link is left ‘orphaned’, not representing any actual section in the contract.
•	Orphaned data pages are now clearly shown and can be easily linked to a real section.

Enhancements
•	When a subjectivity requirement is satisfied, the red warning icon is removed.
•	The line percentages and stamps on the parent facility agreement have been removed from the information displayed on declaration contracts, making them easier to read.
•	Underwriters see groups (or ‘pages’) of data tags that fall into three categories – pages linked to sections they have been shown, pages associated with sections they have not been shown, and pages associated with the contract as a whole.
•	To clearly highlight the difference between the latter two types of page, pages expressly associated with sections an underwriter has not been shown – including orphaned data pages – are now clearly identified by a new “Unshown Section” label.

### 3.1 — 2025-03-08

PLEASE NOTE!:
As of Version 3.1 of the Whitespace Platform App, we are no longer able to include support for iOS v16. From this release onwards, the Whitespace App requires iOS v17 to run.

New Features
Defined Data View lets you Access Tagged Contract Data
•	Defined Data View lets you examine all of a contract’s tagged data.
•	You can easily edit the values of data fields.
•	For now, Defined Data View excludes tables and cross-reference tags.

Brokers can Share Facility Agreements with Other Broker Teams
•	Users with permission flags can share facilities and off-platform facilities (“master facilities”) with other teams as “shared facilities", including endorsements and attachments.
•	Declarations aren’t visible to other teams.
•	New attachments and endorsements on the master facility can be shared when they are completed. Mid-Term Participant Change endorsements that change the master facility panel also change the shared facilities panels.

CDR Tag Names are now Available
•	Tag names for a contract can be set to the CDR tag set.
•	Whitespace’s tag set has been mapped one-to-one with the CDR, except for ‘CDR-2580: (Re)Insurer Written Share Currency’, as Whitespace lines are percentages, not values.

Default Text Size can be Set at Contract or Organisation Level
•	The settings change the default font size of newly-written/pasted text.
•	Existing text in a contract/template is not updated, to preserve current layout.

Brokers can Export Verticalised Contracts as one PDF
•	In addition to the current option of exporting vertical terms as separate documents, you can now include them as pages appended to the contract.
•	The option to export vertical terms as part of the contract is set in the Export screen.
•	You can also still choose to export without vertical terms being included either way.

Brokers can Mark Facility Agreements as Expired or Inactive
•	Expired facilities are hidden by default, have a clear label, and brokers have to accept a warning before showing a declaration to them.
•	Off-platform facilities can be set inactive. The inactive facilities are hidden, and cannot be shown to.
•	Expired statuses can be revoked if necessary.

Enhancements
•	Contract heading title text can be set to invisible. This greatly increases formatting and display options for your contracts.
•	The bold font in PDFs has been increased in weight.
•	Brokers can also share attachments when they send a contract correction.
•	Web addresses and other hyperlinks are now clickable in the platform.
•	Endorsements can be tagged with the change in premium.
•	The list of Internal Reviewers has been alphabetised, making selection easier.
•	Blank stamp updates can’t be sent.

Outstanding Issues
The following issues will be resolved in a future platform release:
•	After showing a contract to an underwriter who has then written their line, if the Broker sends a Line Removal request the Signing button remains visible and is clickable, even after the line has been removed.
•	The Internal Chat system for shared facilities looks as if it is possible to message the team which created the master facility. It’s not true. These messages are never actually sent, as the Internal Chat system doesn’t work this way.

### 3.0 — 2024-12-08

New Features:

Extended Data Questionnaires can be added to templates

•	Template Manager brokers can assemble questionnaires from pre-defined questions for broker users to answer, providing useful supporting information to underwriters.
•	When a new contract is created from the template, it will have the questionnaire attached.
•	Questions can have lists of answers or free text fields, and default answers can be set.

Enhancements:
•	Coloured icons make the status of uncompleted endorsements readily visible to users.
•	Defined Data tags for time accept 24 clock entries, and existing warnings clearly identify this.
•	When underwriters update stamp information, existing mirror stamps are properly preserved.
