I didn’t know it had also been covered by DON McLEAN but what kind of multiple choice gives both Roy O and Don McLean as two possible answers out of the four to choose from? A stupid game, that’s who! I am now back to square one with zero points! Even looking at it afterwards, trying to see rationally why it says McLean and not O, I realised O wrote the song in 1961 so I thought that was why I was wrong as it’s a game about eighties tuneage... so I looked up to see if the Don McLean version was in the eighties, but NO, he released his on an album called Chain Lightning back in 1978! So I’m getting a bit exasperated! One more check through shows that Roy Orbison recorded a duet with KD Lang in 1987 so that is the OFFICIAL version recorded in the eighties! Seriously though, what quiz gives both answers? I really can’t see the point of playing now because maybe some of the rarer songs on there have the wrong answer too (unbeknown to me) and yet I use them to further my knowledge of eighties music! ### 2/5 — Netter Versuch *2016-01-01* 2 Sterne für einen netten Versuch.
