A wholesome approach to healthy living. Wholesome World is a collection of recipes, nutritional information and medical and lifestyle resources, all which have inspired Freyja and helped her focus on health and wellbeing A hugely personal project, this app was built by Freyja after losing her husband to abdominal Synovial Sarcoma cancer in 2014 and herself being diagnosed with a grade III/IV Oligodendroglioma cytoma brain tumour the following year. Wholesome World combines delicious, home-cooked recipes and nutritional information for optimum health. The app also has a selection of resources including medical information, other personal experiences of cancer and ways to reduce stress and promote wellbeing. It simplifies the research and effort required for anyone that wants to have control of their health. Freyja hopes to inform people how they can prevent and overcome cancer-related health issues as well as improve general wellbeing. The recipes are simple and delicious, the information is easy to digest and the shopping list feature is revolutionary! It even sorts the list according to supermarket aisle. Freyja’s own personal story gives this app so much meaning and heart. It does have a restore button but it doesn’t appear to be working. Freyja’s recipes are creative but easy to make, perfect for a dinner party or a quick snack at home. All of the recipes so far and have been delicious and healthy and have certainly broadened my cooking repertoire (the granola and seed crisps are my favourites) looking forward to making many more!
