### 1/5 — App tries to circumvent Apple’s subscription management system

*2026-06-30*

I really hate when developers do this. There’s no way to subscribe within the App Store. They make you leave the app and subscribe outside in a web browser, and I know exactly why they are doing this… It’s because they want it to be more difficult to cancel a subscription or monitor your subscription from the same place that your Apple ID shows.

Apple tries to make it easy to end a subscription and not get members stuck in a subscription they forget about. They have one button you can click to end a subscription.

This App clearly does not want to abide by those rules. I really wish Apple would do something about this.

**Developer response:** UPDATED July 7: We heard you, and today's update does exactly what you asked for. Who's on Second 1.8.0 is now live, and you can subscribe and manage your plan right inside the app through Apple. Your subscription shows up alongside your others in your Apple ID settings, with the one-tap cancel you mentioned. Thanks for pushing us on this. Feedback like yours is how a new app gets better.

[Original Response]:
Thanks for the honest feedback and to be clear, we're not trying to trap anyone. Who's on Second works across web, iOS, and all browsers, so billing runs through our website (which also lets us keep the coach price low). You can cancel anytime in about 15 seconds at whosonsecond.com → Profile → Manage Subscription. It's instant, no email, codes, extra hoops, or phone call needed. You're right that it should be easier to reach from inside the app, so we're adding a direct "Manage Subscription" link in the next update to allow a more direct path. I appreciate you flagging your experience as we are a new app and the user experience and the ratings here are incredibly important to our success or failure. Please reach out directly by opening a support ticket in the app so that we can try to make it right.

### 5/5 — Great App

Great for keeping up with the bookscore. Love the features of this app

### 5/5 — Assistant Coach in my Pocket

*2026-07-04*

I’ve been using this to coach my daughter’s softball team and it has saved me so much grief with the Local league’s supplemental rules, especially with the minimum infield innings requirement. The drag and drop makes it easy and I appreciate how quickly they respond to questions.

### 5/5 — Perfect for Little League

Great app and also responsive developer who has added a bunch of features for my team that have been a huge help. It’s been eye opening for the parents to see fairness stats as well.

My favorite part is the GameChanger imports!

### 5/5 — Best app award

Best app for baseball lineups hands down. Also is great for team coordination, stats summaries. Love the app and online version.

### 5/5 — Incredibly Valuable Tool

*2026-05-15*

Who’s on Second might be the most comprehensive tool for youth baseball coaches. The depth of the rule sets and configurations saves so much time throughout the week. The developer is super responsive. Love this software.

### 5/5 — Best app for coaches!

*2026-05-04*

This app has been a huge time-saver for me as a baseball coach. Before using it, I was trying to manage rosters, batting orders, defensive rotations, innings played, and lineup changes manually in Excel, and it was a constant headache. This app has taken a lot of that pain out of the process and made game-day planning much easier.

Being able to organize lineups, track player rotations, and make adjustments without rebuilding spreadsheets every time has been incredibly valuable. It helps me stay more organized, make better decisions, and spend less time buried in admin work. For youth baseball especially, where you’re balancing playing time, positions, pitching, catching, and last-minute changes, having a tool like this makes a real difference.

The app already solved a major problem for me, and the new features continue to add even more value. It feels like it is being actively improved by people who understand what coaches actually need. I’m incredibly happy I found it and would highly recommend it to any baseball coach who is still trying to manage lineups and rosters manually.

### 5/5 — Responsive Developer!

*2026-04-16*

I’ve been using this on my phone and it has changed how I manage the dugout. I volunteer for my LL so I have a lot going on. Not having to manage the pitch counts the night before has been awesome. The two time I has some user error, the admin was super helpful and responded quickly. Would recommend.

### 5/5 — Wish I’d had this tool sooner!

*2026-04-15*

This app makes tracking my players easy! I don’t coach to crunch numbers, and now I don’t have to!

**Developer response:** Thanks so much — "I don't coach to crunch numbers" is exactly why I built this. If you haven't tried auto-generate or the post-game wrap-up yet, those are the two biggest number-crunchers the app takes off your plate. Have a great season!
