To scan music that is playing around you, you have to pay a yearly subscription. That info should have been front and center. It’s got all the samples you need even the obscure ones and it is very easy to link your apple or Spotify account with it. I heard a new song, and I swear the first part of it is sampling another song. When I saw there was a “Shazam-like” app that I could listen to songs to figure that out, I was stoked and thought, hey, that’s worth $3.99. Talk about being jebaited because when I open the app to try to listen to the song I wanted to figure out, it wants to charge me another $9.99 as a subscription! On top of the $3.99 I already wasted. So then I try to search for the song manually, and it doesn’t even have the song I was looking for. My friends and I spend hours at a time on it. The search function is so intuitive and user-friendly (+ the listening function w time stamps) it’s almost impossible not to go down a crazy rabbit hole.
