## What is WhyMyPhone?

Phone getting hot, laggy, or draining fast? WhyMyPhone tells you WHY in 30 seconds — and exactly what to do about it.

No tech knowledge needed, no computer required. Answer two or three simple questions (e.g. "Does it heat up while charging?") and WhyMyPhone combines your answers with live system signals to rank the most likely causes, then hands you an actionable fix — including deep links straight to the right page in Settings.

【What it does】
• Root-cause diagnosis: charging heat, weak signal, background refresh, battery aging… AI + rules rank the likely causes
• Health score: battery, storage, memory and network combined, with trends
• Live monitor: CPU, memory, network and thermal state on intuitive curves
• AI consult: hand your device metrics to an AI for analysis and ask follow-ups — via cloud, on-device Apple Intelligence, or your own key (BYOK)
• Plain-English encyclopedia: why phones get hot, why the screen dims, what throttling means
• Weekly report & overheat alerts: automatic weekly device checkups, plus a notification when things get too hot
• Home/Lock Screen widgets: health score at a glance; every widget refresh is a bonus sampling chance

【Honest limits】
Due to iOS sandboxing, WhyMyPhone cannot read other apps' power usage, and history is only sampled while the app is in the foreground or refreshed by a widget. We don't pretend to know everything — every conclusion is labeled with confidence and shows you how to verify it in Settings → Battery.

【Pro — one-time purchase】
One-time unlock (no subscription): full deep-dive reports, complete history, and richer weekly analysis. The free version already covers core diagnosis and monitoring.

【Privacy】
No sign-up required. Cloud consults send only this conversation plus a device metrics summary to the model provider; nothing is retained on our servers. BYOK keys stay in your Keychain. Details: https://whymyphone.com/privacy.html

[Anonymous usage count] After launch the app sends one non-identifying count (app version, language, iOS major version, and whether Pro is unlocked). It carries no device identifier, no account, and we do not store your IP. You can turn it off in Settings.
