Used to be great ### 1/5 — Horrible App, Decent Slow Cooker *2024-04-30* The app for this slow cooker is horrible. It was never great to begin with, but has gotten worse. I’ve not been able to connect it to my WiFi over the last couple of years no matter how many times I tried. It just gets stuck during setup. I decided to try again today since I’m using the slow cooker. I reset my password and it won’t take the new password (I know I’m typing it correctly) so I tried to reset again with something a bit shorter. Now every time I open the app it crashes before I can even get to the login screen. The app is not usable which means the WiFi capabilities of the slow cooker are pointless. The slow cooker works fine, but when I bought it, I bought it for the smart home capabilities and I can’t even use it. My kids put them in the crock pot If I am traveling. Then I can adjust and even turn the crockpot on and off while I am away. I did it from Germany the last time and it worked beautifully. If you have any problems connecting your phone to the Wi-Fi after it initially worked well, you just need to Uninstall the app and reinstall it. Don’t give up! ### 5/5 — B&D Wi-Fi Slow Cooker *2018-10-12* I’ve read the reviews and got reluctant, but as it turns out, there was no need to worry. I think the setup confuses those who are not able to get a connection or there is actually network issue on their network. Works in the house and from outside (40 foot away so far). Took it o work (off my network) and it connected immediately when plugged up in the house afterwards. It has been a huge time saver for me until the app wouldn’t work. I couldn’t connect to my WiFi no matter what I did. I decided to delete the app and install it again. Like magic it connected with no issue. I put my ingredients in the crock pot before I go to school. Then I just set an alarm on my phone so when I am in class I can start the crockpot from the app. If I think I will not be home in time when it is done I just add some extra time on the warm setting.
